Beautiful. It's getting a lot of recognition too. Would be nice to see some death metal get more recognition. People need to open their minds a bit and realize that a lot of music is an acquired taste. You cannot expect a music style or song to be your thing straight away. It's like an education to a certain extent. You develop your musically analytical muscle, make an effort to understand the songwriting and then eventually gain an appreciation for the music itself.

I am listening to this band at a recommendation of a friend. I have never heard of Eluveitie before, so I googled them. Thank god someone put them up on Youtube, so I could get a preview of their music. And, I say thank god, because if I went out to buy this, took it home, and played it, my friend would be reimbursing me for the cost of the CD. They are HORRIBLE! Every time I try and like these guys, I just can't do it...they would be great if it weren't for those awful hardcore vocals. Folk metal with harsh vocals can be amazing (see: Equilibrium) but you have to do them right...he might as well be yelling in front of Atreyu or some shit, it absolutely ruins the rest of the band's beautiful sound.

Actually, most of the money goes to the record label from albums. If you want to do Eluveitie any favors, go to the shows and buy merch. That is where the real money is. With technology the way it is today, most bands can afford to put together a decent sounding demo. Record labels are leeches off of the creativity of the bands. The best thing one can do, get the music, introduce people to it, spread the word, and people will attend Eluveitie's shows.
