I was lucky enough to see this lady live in concert in Ireland this year. Im only 36 and i thought she was bril ! Real character. It amazes me that she never made it big in America. The European fans esp in Ireland and Uk most stars will say we are more loyal unlike americans who always want the next big thing and are so fickle!! Like Tina Turner who made it big over here after years of touring US and getting nowhere ... ROCK ON BIIIE JO !! :-)

I like billie jo but I think it sounds better on vinyl. the digital transfer looses the richness i think.I bought a few recordings on CD and it never sounds as good.

I agree that this is the best female version of this song. Anything that Billie Jo sings is a winner. She has an easily recognizable voice and I wish she was still recording today. A great job you have done with this video mrdee.

This song always bring to mind "Mansion on the Hill" by Hank Williams - another song about money and glamour taking precedence over love.
