Great fight. Watch the entire match, Johnson carries fight the whole way scored it 8-3 after 11 rounds for Johnson. His hooks and uppercuts are brutal, changes his levels, powerful stuff. Saad's ability to absorb punishment is inhuman. Either one of these guys destroy any 175 pounder fighting today.

Matt Franklin was a very exciting fighter. He was never in an easy bout and all his fights were knockdown dragout affairs. Very exciting bout, thanks for posting it.

To weigh 175lbs and be in top shape you have to be quite a big man. 12 and a half stone seems just an average weight for a man these days though! Shows how out of shape ppl are! Just a thought!

Also Johnson was 1972 Olympian who was undefeated at the time of this fight! Saad had a few losses during this time (One was to Eddie Gregory(Mustafa Muhamad)!

Wow...their second fight--with a World title at stake--is considered to be one of the greatest fights in history, maybe the best at 175. HOWEVER, I think THIS one might be better. Give it up for Johnson: throwin' punches until either or his opponent went down. Ref didn't BOTHER to count! Man, what a fight. And to this day, Saad has MAJOR respect for Marvin Johnson. After 2nd fight, he called Johnson the best who has ever fought and warned other to watch for him. Johnson got his 2nd title after.

I remember watching this as a kid with my brother and dad. What a fight. Both went on to be deserving champs.
