Good idea, but personally i'm sticking with sandbags. In the UK they go for like £35 per 100, so cost isn't an issue.
Sandbags are more manageable, so if needed i could fortify my home with sandbags my byself. I know i'd get pretty tired lifting those full of earth by my self.
Also, if one bursts, be it from attack or accident or whatever, then you have a larger area of weakness opposed to a sandbag.
On the whole, I like the video, it shows you're thinking! thumbs up.
I prefer the 50lb feed and rice bags because they super cheap ,alot of times free and Much more structurally strong when filled with clay mix rammed earth . from experience with Both Types If You were building a wall with Regular sandbags you would have to use a 3 sandbag wall thickness to get the same structural integrity as one 50lb feed/rice bag .
If you fill the feed bags where they are supposed to lay no need to move it.
@Marktheshtfgenius you do have a point about if one Bursts about there being a bigger hole ect
But again if you use a clay mix typed or compacted earth to fill the bags after they dry they become like very Large Form Fitting Bricks
. Thanks for your contribution to the discussion I appreciate your views on this and im sure your and my comments could help someone trying to decide which type to go with decide on the best type for their situation
@fullmag556 Thanks brother Im Steadily collecting Rice bags and also feed bags The feed bags dont seem to be as good of quality as the rice bags But They all work pretty good
Great Idea, I didnt think about the rice bags. I bought sand bags at lowes for this very reason but with all of the rice I bought I would have had a nice supply. Great Video
@lpdavisakgto no actually the photos in the video are a visualization that I made to show how these Bags can be used to fortify a home or bug out Location . But This is what I will do to my home with my stockpile of Poly feed/rice bags. Even though my wife is more into prepping now shes not into the idea of doing this to our home
