YES!! I remember this so well. A lot of my family worked for the brewery..there used to be Schludwiller t-shirts and stuff. I have a Henry's bottling #1 crate in my room with me now.

Well that's all fine and good: your outlook on hipsters is truly analytical. My comments may have seemed overfocused and perhaps a more broad perspective was missed.

But I was commenting on the current hipster issues in portland. Cultural Innovators like Hot lips Pizza, Ground Control and voodoo donuts are now widely commercailized and are crowded by people just trying to be at the right place at the right time. Portland is awesome because we don't strive to be different, we just are.

Perhaps you are confusing my intent. That's easy to do in these little blips. The people you mention ARE the urban locusts who are consuming this state. I don't know your personal history, but there was a time and a way of independent thinking that existed before the urbanite propogandists invaded and twisted the state. We WERE a state lead by people, not a people led by a state back then. That's about as close as I can get with my remaining 14 characters.

Who are the hipsters? There are a lot of sheep like people in every city. Hipsters are this easy to piont out.

They have fixed track bikes; yeah in a city dominated by hills that's seriously ignorant.

They have scruffy beards and long hair. We understand you couldn't shave for the last 2 weeks because you're way to busy living off your parents.

They may actually wear more then one belt. Oh, I guess one per pair of pants wasn't enough.

That word hipster probably means too many things to too many people. Replace that with urbanites who let others do their thinking. That is a more accurate phrase for my intent.

I don't care how anyone looks, it is their critical analysis I am most concerned with.
