Furthermore... The iPhone version of FF1 is exactly the same as the PSP version, so the GBA version is the only unique version. Having FF1 on a PSP is just about the only saving grace for an overpriced handheld which sold only a fraction, if less, than the GBA.

@supercaraged Well, the GBA version looks a lot like the rest of the advance series (up to 6) in terms of graphics. The PSP version only really upgrades graphics, which isn't really necessary or anything. The PSP version is fine, it's just that the GBA version is easier to pick up and play, and has more bonus features.

@Valientlink If you didn't know....the PSP version has all the bonus dungeons from the GBA version, a new extra dungeon with a Superboss, has the PSX version music (There better arrangement's than the GBA ones) you have more range to customizing the Text box colors, and, it wasn't repackaged with the very shitty Final Fantasy 2. So yeah, the PSP version is better. And why the hell do you think the graphical enhancements aren't necessary?! That's like saying the GBA should have the NES graphics!

OMG! That cloak Princess Garnet is wearing when she first attempts to leave Alexandria at the beginning of FFIX is a traditional white mage cloak. I feel stupid! I love how they reuse things throughout the FF series, like names (Cid, Garland, etc) and enemies (i.e. Bandersnatches). I always have fun connecting one game to another.

@BrentMaster123 because red Mage can only learn up to lvl 4 magic (maybe three) while the white or black magic users can go all the way. If I had known that in the beginning I'd not have chosen one however he is nice as a stylish fighter lol.

Dissidia Warrior of Light is supposed to represent all four warriors of light, since all four are important. He's protrayed as being most like the Knight class becuase the warrior is always the first character in the party and therefore the overworld character.

White and Black Wizards can use all their related magics, while the Red Wizard is unable to learn the ultimate spells.

Personally I tend to like a party of three Fighters with a Red Mage in the back, though - that's quite an interesting party, and very useful.

That's true, but a supporting Red Mage in a party of three Knights can be quite devastating.

The Knights will take care of all the physical attack and defense you ever wanted, while this Red Mage stands around and casts Cure or something when necessary, and the rest of the time he can also join in the physical fighting. :D

I remember when I played this game on NES the first time several years ago, I had heard good things about RPGs for months on end and then I stumbled across this - "oh... an RPG".

First thing I did as to swear at the low damage of my unarmed characters (XD), then I went up to Garland and died VERY QUICKLY.

Then I swore again and turned the game off, and heard you must equip your characters and level them up first.

Then I came back to the game and beat Garland, and the rest is history.

The only thing that I think sucks about this game is that the extra bosses from the other games only stop at VI. I would really like to see ones from VII, VIII, or maybe even X. I know I skipped IX, but this and IX have a lot of similarities.

I meant it was hilarious in that Garland threatens to "knock them down" which sounds pretty benign compared to the more usual "i will rip you apart!" or "i will grind ur bones." And to "cross-swords" is a popular slang term: "A form of male bonding. When two males share a urinal or toilet bowl during urination, the two males cross their pee streams in a manner to harken to the act of crossing swords in battle." So when Garland sez that, its funny.
