Theres a rod in his jacket, probably attached to like a harness under his shirt, with a hinge on the back. when they take him down slowly, the rod falls vertical to the ground and then acts like a tripod. where he takes one leg off the ground, that actually would take a bit of balancing skill. If you stop the video while the cameraman is doing the along the ground shot, you can see where the "grey" of the coat is touching the ground.
