  • I heard from a Torah Scholar that Greeks gods were really astrolonomy. Zeus is really Saturn. Our Sabbath, the 7th day is connected to Saturn.

The Greeks knew of the power and wanted it, thats why the Greeks made that guy offer a pig on the alter, and the Kohen got angry and killed him and started the Maccabe War/Chanukka Story.

  • thanks for your videos and a git shabbes rabbi :)

  • When was Jesus born?

  • from wiki.answers

The Bible does not reveal the exact day of Jesus birth. he died in the spring of 33C.E. at 33 1/2 years of age. at the time of his birth, shepherds were living out of doors and keeping watches in the night over their flocks. (Luke 2:8) In the land of Israel, late December is a cold, rainy season during which sheep would be kept in shelters overnight to protect them from the winter weather.

  • December 25 was set aside by the Romans as the birthday of their sun god. Centuries after Jesus was on earth,

  • Thanks Rabbi.

  • im sad that chanukah passed :( oh well thers always next year!!! that is so wrong 4 him to say that chanukah is "not" important!!!

  • While I respect you immensely for coming on youtube and spreading the word about Judaism, Jon Stewart's show is social and political satire. The skits don't necessarily represent the opinions or views of Jon Stewart or John Oliver, as they are portraying stereotypes. Unfortunately Chanukah is overshadowed this time of year because of another major holiday and also because people, sometimes even Jews, don't understand the significance of Chanukah. I think that was the point of the skit.

  • Again, I respect you and wish you and your family well during this wintery season.

Also, I thank you for explaining the true meaning of Chanukah and its origins. Alas, I was one of the misinformed like Stewart's show was pandering to during the sketch you were criticizing. I thank you for setting me straight. G-d bless, Rabbi!

  • right so it is our job to spread knowledge

  • Chanukach sameach!
