  • LOL between 15 and 16 mins nutn says that they run shotgun so rarely that they probably wont be out again till 2012. well that would be perfect timing to do a finale eval of the ksg since it is "out" now but on back order till forever and will be in stores in approximately 7 years LOL. love the ksg just wish i could get my hands on one

  • @doggymatic They explain that in part one. ATF wont allow an auto change over. Sucks

  • Nutn making fun of Chris Costa on the stance lol classic.

  • while its good too see new shotgun designs cant say that kel tec will make me change my old good 870 pump ......when you talk pump nothing beats a good old wingmaster ;)

  • an Idea for the KSG, When you pump, it could automatically switch each feed tube with every time.

  • @doggymatic ATF would be all over them and then it becomes an NFA shitfest class 3 weapon. Sucks I know.

  • I wonder why not all of your videos are in HD. This one would have been badass to have in 720P.

    Great job though!

  • I need that kel tec hat.... Sick!

  • I was wondering about a design consideration for the KSG. After seeing how those speed loaders worked with the more conventional pump shotgun, and the shape of the KSG stock, would it be possible to design the KSG to have more shells racked in the stock and have a bolt-like lever slam all the stored shells into one of the internal magazines? I know, I know, more complexity, but its another way to avoid the reload process as long as possible. Feasibility?

  • @redknight808 I was thinking the same thing, but wondered if it wouldn't be better to angle feed ramps as the crew recommended during the video. Maybe a sliding loader tray would be a great feature for a [later?] longer choked version. I'm just not sure I'd be willing to give up more inches of length for faster reload when it's already at 15-shot capacity. Just assuming that it would add length to have a sliding loader feature... maybe I'm wrong. Great idea, though.

  • hey nut, have you had a double feed problem before with your 1300? i have had 1 that i can remember with my 20. but just one

  • its a sick gun wish they could build a speed loader for that instead of finger banging for rounds and loading them one at a time

  • Too bad the KSG's capacity puts out of the Heavy Metal 3 gun division. It would be fun to run.

  • Bad choice for Kel Tec to allow this kind of demo with a prototype.

  • hobits do have good hearing LMAO!!! good one!

  • That shotgun sure does well even in the desert.

  • 1:23 can you say FLINCH!

Glad im not the only one who has minor seizures with pump actions.

  • when dose this thing come out

  • Hey, nutnfancy, what kind of mount did put use on a shotgun to mount the Maelstrom G5? Referring to you "4Sevens Maelstrom G5: "Surefire Killer" by Nutnfancy" video.

  • @WarIsNeverPretty Alright enough! LOL Nutn says he used a "one inch alum scope ring". Hope that helps. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Sorry for being annoying in the comments. It's just that I didn't expect you to reply that fast, nor I expected you to notice my question. :)

And where did he buy that one inch alum scope ring? I'm looking for one myself, but all I could find were the expensive ones that cost 50$+. :(

  • where is part 4?

  • @ima5150 It's there.

  • I think this design is perfect for military and LE use, meaning dual tube. Does away with the need for ammo changing, load 1 tube with normal shot, the other with slugs, breaching rounds, whatever. If you need to change ammo, just switch to the other tube and pump it. Of course the bullpup design would make it unnatural to reload, but that can be worked around with training.

  • What happened to section 4 of 4 of this review? There is 1, 2, & 3 posted but not 4.

  • @sferrin2 watch?v=p1fvjncwX8I&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

  • @sferrin2 It's called the Saiga emerges for part 4 for some reason. Probably because, wait for it, a Saiga emerges. :)

  • I don't know if anyone addressed it but, why only load the KSG with 9 rounds and then say you need to find time to reload. The whole point is to be able to have 15 total and not worry about reloading. You can't try to make it fair for the other shotguns because, that is what "might" make it better than the other you had. Other than that a decent vid

  • @Shamuman13 True that!

  • Fatherman is kicking ass!

  • I asked Kel-Tec research and development via email, wish i had seen this earlier though. I would have asked u to ask Chad from Kel-Tec, if they ever plan on making the SU16-C chambered in 7.62 NATO. It would be freakin perfect instead of these 9-10 pound AR10's out now.

  • @ablenetech The RFB is 8lbs and IT fires the 7.62 NATO round... it's also a bullpup design... check out the .308 series here on TNP ;)

There aren't any plans to chamber the SUs in that caliber as of yet.

    Thanks for watching!

    -Chad

  • I still think this is a great idea on KelTec's part. The KSG got alot of hype at SHOT and now they are showing people it in action through someone who we know isn't a company rep. I already plan on getting one now I want it even more

  • can i come to the excuse zone? i got a lot of em :D

  • @thaddeusabear LOL! Anytime ;)

    -Chad

  • another great video, can't wait to get my hands on a KSG. but not sure why I keep having to resubscribe :-\

  • @nutnfancy The trigger Does not reset if you pull it back while cycling the kel- tec KSG Shotgun... Have you Found this to be True?

  • @illysqwilly According to Kel-Tec the reset issue has been fixed. As seen is the video watch?v=W638QRLqUyc

  • @illysqwilly The trigger reset issue has been resolved :)

  • Spyderco Delica 4 sighting at 42:24 ...

    Good vid, ignore the haters.

  • @MARINE1146 A lot of people will try to be negative about Nutn in order to increase their viewers/listeners. It is not a stupid move, as it actually works...which is why I am removing your plug for his show. I was sent a link to the show and I got tickled when D.C. described Nutn as a "college kid". DC had NOT done his homework and was just running off at the mouth without any facts. It happens. Negative Nellies..such is life. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Can you answer as his sister, why his lips always look like they got done being wrapped around a cock? wait.....NM. Fanny packs and zooters...........very Jerimiah Johnson If you ask me...

  • what is the stock on pfi dudes 870?

  • @MARINE1146 if you watch nutnfancy for tactics then you are already fail....if you watch nutnfancy for info on weapons to help you form your own opinions on the weapon then you are win.

  • @manek1978 BWHAHAHAH...NUTTTER IS NOT A COMBAT VET. If you are a PREPPER...You can ask several REAL VETS on YOUTUBE How to prepare....YOu dont need to be Tactical...LULZ. Nutnfancy thinks hes high speed...hes even said it in videos before...Hes an airplane Pilot.

  • PFI dad killing the handgun round

  • I love the "excuse zone"

  • 45,000 your viewer,s are back and so are with one of your best ever

  • 11:40 made me change my mind about getting the KSG. I don't wanna die.

  • Work on your shotgun reloads. Hope i dont get blocked for making a comment.

  • 33:03-33:08, in the annotation it says ZDM, not XDM

  • Lol @ the excuse zone

  • Hey Chad!

There were four of us standing at the gun counter in Clearfield, PA this morning wishing for 4 KSGs to find their way into town! I won't give you a hard time like the guys did, but we gotta see some of those puppies up here in PA soon. Looks like some of those Florida shops are taking advantage of people online.

  • I've wondered....have you guys ever thought about making a modular "corner" For those multiple target stages where you need to pie the corner? That would be an awesome addition.

  • 0.0 pfidudes scary good with that 1300

  • what's that music?

  • Finally heard what I've been waiting to hear since I first saw the KSG... PFI brought his Saiga.

  • what holster is that at 19:28

  • That KSG is one stupid cool shotgun. I want 3.

  • whats the pistol at 0:39 ?

  • Cartographers rule!!!

  • Nutn

Can you let me know the name and artist of the song used?

I tried looking on the site states in the comments.

  • Nutn' looks like u lost a little weight in this vid?

  • It's hilarious that these guys post a video of themselves inducing a malfunction on a G27 and blame the gun, and then they have about 100 problems with the KSG and still claim to love the shotgun. How about some integrity?

  • @beltjones1

I thought they blamed the mag?

  • @beltjones1 Don't waste our time with Glock Fanboy comments.....we do love the KSG.......and we love Glocks....but they both can and do fail.

  • @beltjones1 its a prototype...so its going to not be 100%...while glock messed up on something it shouldn't have messed up on

  • Man,,, that KSG malfunction is scary...

  • Maybe some type of indicator that shows which tube is available to feed. Like some kind of green strip or arrow or dot that shows which tube is available for feeding. Depending on which way you have the switch. And it can just go black when your going to load the plus +1.

  • You dudes are freaking awesome!!

Love EVER freaking video you guys post!!

  • this is amazing, cause i never knew the worlds gonna end and we are all gonna need to fight with weapons like this tomorrow..

  • PFI, man you were smokin with the 1300

  • Great work fellas-I like the compactness of the KSG-I think the lack of availability may be a blessing in disguise-this buys time for Kel-Tec to optimize the platform. Outstanding vid that makes me jealous! KSG!! oh and Springfield XDm(i own an XD 45 and LOOOVVVVE IT!)

  • While the KSG is a great concept, packs plenty of firepower, it looks like it still needs those refinements that Nutn & PFI recommended during the video from their experience running it. I don’t think I’ll be replacing my 12GA Remington 7 shot 870 home defense model anytime soon for the KSG.

  • Great stuff guys! Love the testing and data points we're all getting out of the KSG.

  • semi-auto version coming?

  • Way to run in front of the muzzle at 20:32. Great work, dude.

  • This is great I love TNP and Kel-Tec!

  • PFI Dad freaking Rocks

  • This is my favorite video in the series so far. You guys look like you had a great time!

  • This is my favourite video in the series so far. You guys look like you had a great time!

  • Hey Nutn, awesome video as always!

BTW, what music is that in the beginning? Loved it!

  • You know, that KSG was my fantasy weapon since i was 12.I always dreamt of a shotgun with a that kind of grip on the fore-end.Thank you Kel Tec for making my dream come true!

  • I love the wood on that Winchester 1300. I wish those were easier to find. That seems to be a rare piece.

  • Impressed with the idea keltec has and would like to see the little details shown in the video applied. N then I'll pick one up

  • I would love it if you guys broke that KSG down for a field strip cleaning. I'd really like to see how its put together and how the internals work or are set up.

  • Dude, check out how fast this guy can use those speed loaders,

    /watch?v=o9o-Aa6ePqE&

  • I hope Chad reads this comment, because they may want to consider changing the botton loading bay - into a loading through the butt pad of the stock, or do a top loading bay on the stock in between the cheek welds maybe.

This would bypass all sling issues while loading.

  • The capacity and compactness of the KSG are great advantages but loading seems to be an issue, especially under duress. With a standard pump or auto, the rounds to in the tube, you chamber one, resume shooting. These sling placement issues, not having the selector on the right tube when trying to load, and all the unintentional dry fires are great food for thought when considering this gun for a defensive role. Looks are very cool, but it has to work as well. Great work TNP.

  • @nutnfancy Not too sure I still understand the point of short loading the KSG. One of the key benefits is having 7+7+1 in the chamber...a MONSTER advantage over the 870, 1300 or any other shotgun. Would have made a night & day difference on the eat lead course taking reloading out of the equation. Whatever, great vids anyhow.

  • PLEASE more crunch from Lizard one king!!

I concur! PFI's moves with that winchester are the deadliest I have EVER seen him!

  • PLEASE more crunch from Lizard one king!!

  • I prefer my ak-47 with a silencer and red dot and grenade launcher.

  • @sizzo666 ...

  • Great video. I really enjoyed it.

  • These guys were having so much fun and it shows. Needs more cowbell though. ;-)

  • It looks like Modoc County , California!

  • Has Nutnfancy and them ever came across any rattlesnakes at any time while they were in the desert?

  • Nutn, your editing gets better and better. The closing footage was very cool. PFIDude was deadly with that 1300.

  • Hey Chad, did I hear you say "don't need it in the middle"? I was under the impression that it has to be at the middle setting to chamber the +1 round. Is that not the case?

  • You managed to fire your pistol in-sync with the music starting at 1:49.

  • FLIP THE LEVAH.

  • way to go Chad on the pistol :) good to see him blow those targets apart

  • That was impressive PFI dude ! you guys need to have gun reps come out more often!

  • @chavezchavez556 It was fun to have Chad join us and we do plan to work with many other manufacturers as well. Thanks for watching!

  • What shirt and pants are you wearing?

  • I'm side-piping like a single-point sling, lol

  • pfidude is consistently SMOKE with the shotgun rapid fires... it's like he's on the PS3 or something...

  • @texasAUtiger No, it's like he's in real life and a really good shooter. Video games... lol.

  • @texasAUtiger More like XBOX 360;)

  • Wow, PFI Dad rocks. If the rest of you guys rocked your second runs as well as he did this vid would've only needed to be 5 minutes long ;D the KSG really seems to be fast on target! I think there's going to be one of these in my future.

  • Around 1:56 you can see the round flying

  • Got me tired just watching you guys. Good job.

Winchester is still hard to beat.

  • I'm going to wait a year or two before thinking about adding this thing to the arsenal. Hopefully it pans out and can hold up to the reliability of other tac-shotguns, ie 500,590, or 870

  • is that a tag plate carrier and if it is how do you like it

  • doing it the russian way. shoot through the hostage.

  • The loading of the KSG is difficult at best. Using the index finger is not near as efficient as using the thumb on a tradtional shotgun. Not to mention all of the complexity associated with the switch and remebering to change and center it when needed. I'll take the Winchester everyday.

  • LOL "Those hobbits got good hearing".

  • Famous last words, Chad: "I'm ready."

  • I'm waiting to see the times when the KSG is fully loaded. So far you havn't taken full advantage of one of the key selling points. I'm curious to see how much time you'll cut off your runs

  • Love the vids man. thank you.

  • i didnt know Nutn was a dirty little puppy! 1:06 XD

  • @xPOSSUM45x lol yeah, it took me like a full 5 seconds to get it too, I was like uhhh... oooohhhh OH! hee hee

  • I am lovin this series! Well produced, entertaining, and educational. Great Crew! It's also important to note that for all of the minor glitches with reloading, we should be giving Kel-Tec huge kudos for publicly field testing a gun that (for all intents and purposes) is still in the development stage. Added to that is the handicap of not fully loading the weapon (which has proved to be a very good idea), and Chad has handled the suggestions on improvements with candor and professionalism.

  • My 870 super mag will doublefeed like a motherfucker if you short stroke it with field loads

  • yall need to grow some pmc beards for flavor

  • every video i watch makes me more envious and hate my life so much more, pfffff

    you are living my dream

  • will the gun fire with the tube switch in the middle position?

  • Damn, black hat boy was shooting that pistol good.

  • I'm diggin that leaning thing you do, it's good practice, but realistically, you should probably shoot from the LEFT shoulder when leaning around the LEFT corner. Maybe something to consider for next time.

  • You're like a Gazelle . . or what was the name of that animal with a trunk? :D

  • Comment removed

  • This is like watching a real life version of DOOM or Left 4 Dead. You guys should dress those targets up like Zombies. :)

  • Once again another excellent video from nutn'. Love that course you guys set up. Great job to those in TNP. Excellent work. Great data points. And thanks again.

  • KSG seems to point quicker, but the traditional pump seemed WAY better for follow-up shots thanks to its more front-heavy design. Novel idea for a gun, that KSG... Don't think I'll switch to a bull-pup shotgun, but I'd get one for my girlfriend since she seems to like it.

  • 33:06, message in top right has mistype. Says ZDM45 instead of XDM. Great vid! Hope to link some of my own in the near future.

  • I love that 1300...

  • I vote that PFI Dad needs his name officially changed to "Fatherman."

  • Nice Run and Gun series, for the KSG. I hope, when it goes to full production, Keltec takes the data points and applies them to the shotgun. Thanks for the videos, Nutn and friends.

  • when does the KSG go into full production?

  • @PFIDude great to see you as always in tnp. just a quick question on your offside under the dump pouch are you wearing a fixed blade. i noticed it on your run and couldnt remember if you mentioned anything about it

  • i'm totally down with the KELTEC idea, but just alittle sketch for me right now. the gun profiles are cool an i understand the concept. need some refining tho. not enough made for me to get my hands on one. these run an guns really do test the durability and reliability of all products

  • @nutnfancy If you put the selector in the middle on the KSG while loading can you load either side or do you have to put it on the side your loading?

  • Is nutn wearing A-TACS camo?

  • Chad ran the hell out of the KSG that time. God damn I can't wait for that thing to hit the stores. The T1/H1 looks like the perfect sighting system for that gun.

  • CHAD AND FITS WOULD FIT IN GREAT TOGETHER

hahaha fitsy always has chains n random stuff on

  • Great series. Love this stuff.

  • Awesome shooting guys! I have to say I was a little worried about what was going to happen next after PFIDad said something about being ready to do "geriatric #2" . . . lol

  • Oh by the way is that a worn and washed woodland camo that Nutn is wearing or is it a different type od camo?

  • @bachelor11111977 Looks like a multicam fleece jumper or jacket.

  • @Zapateur very much doubt its multicam, but thanks for commenting.

  • @bachelor11111977 Yeah, you are right. You can see it well from 2:37 on and it's not. It looks like some kind of hunting fleece shirt and pants, similar to Cabela's outfitter pattern.

  • Best 46 minutes ive spent on this site.

  • The review leaves out certain obvious key points. I know lots of gun owners but not many play army man by running around shooting at targets. Combined arms tactics are a far more useful skill. The weapon makes possible equiping for dual targets in the home defense role. 00 buck is perfect for using against home invasion. But advanced reloaders can produce explosive shells for use against body armor for defending against ATF, FBI or attacks by similar thugs.

  • If I needed employment I would wanna work for you Nut'n. You are a not slack. I expect you to do well.

  • Hey Nutn, Lovin the run'n'gun vids. and really likin the KSG, Looks cool and has a decent ammo capacity for a pump. When will you be doing more nylon reviews and also as a possible idea / request could you do some tactical clothing reviews, such as in the TRU SPEC, Propper and such. In Multicam of course. Keep up the great work and have a great Easter.

  • PFI owns it with that 1300, kick ass great video as always

  • Unless you are in a full combat situation, the KSG is going to be FULLY LOADED, if you can't get the job done with 15 rounds of 00 buck, or slugs then you have no buisness even holding the shotgun. Also, I was trained to load on the run like most that have been trained with shotguns. As far as the selector switch goes, that's just training and gross motor skill muscle memory. GREAT follow up vid Nutn, keep it up!

  • Nice solid run by PFIDad and some great improvement from Chad! Good shooting all around. Thanks for posting nutn!

  • "Eat Lead" give many & valuable data points for Kel-Tec

  • ill buy it

  • Lets face it:KSG isnt woderful shotgun that doesnt need to be loaded at all! I think using a gun is using whole system and leavin KSG without testing how it loads at field would be mistake. Both shotguns got about the same time score so its fair:) Now you can choose old or new;)

  • i gotta say, i like how the intro and outros get better and better editing and music, it's been cool to see the vid production develop over the (wow, it's a while!) years

  • Loadin KSG at full cappacity?Everybody knows that it tooks twice more shells.I think better put in test on how it runs.Is it reliable, accurate or ergonomic-well designed.Nutn and guys tried to compare old with new and as you can see both got its "+" and"-" If KSG can serve well in that conditions its cappacity will be an adventage-one of many at this gun.It will make us chose it in future as a battle shotgun:)

  • From what I have seen of the KSG, it seems to a damn hassle loading and worrying with the mag selector. I think your better off with a Remington 870. Loading the KSG is ridiculous.

  • Nutn are you cross eyed dominant?

  • one gripe about the ksg testing, not running the ksg at full load out is not a fair test. It may take longer to reload but the the purpose is to not have to reload.

  • I love your videos, high quality and thorough! These run and gun fields makes the shooting experience seem a lot more fun on another level than at the range. Keep up the work.
