Kate Bush is a legend. It's so sad to hear that people actually think Running Up That Hill is a Placebo original. Nothing against Placebo, but Kate Bush is just too brilliant for people to not know about her.

I didn't know anything about Placebo (I'm old school progressive rock) until I found this version of Running up that Hill. Kate Bush's version is superior, but this version has a nice feel to it.

this piece was never meant to compare Placebo to Kate Bush;

some people love Placebo, some people love Kate Bush, some people love both LIKE ME. I worked on this version to combine the amazing talent of both. And I am pretty positive that Kate Bush was delighted Placebo covered this song: if someone covers someone else's work is recognition, they are not stealing Kate's work :) but reinterpreting it. The song belongs to Kate, Ms Bush fans know it and Placebo fans know it too.

Well, that thing you say is a bit true, but all is about generations and music likes, some people doesn't know some musicians, but it's not their fualt. When i heard this cover i said "wtf?" but later i said, "well it's cool". And IMAO placebo has done pretty good covers. I'm not a BIG fan of placebo, but i like them. i'm a progressive rock fan, and i like a lot kate bush, she has stuning voice and well compose music. So i have learned to not hate everything at first time, i've become patient.

@curdey I didn't know about her until Placebo covered this, and didn't know that Placebo covered this till I heard the song on NCIS LA. I listened to both versions and I love both of them. It's like comparing Heath Ledger's joker to Jack Nicholson's. Both are completely different styles, but completely awesome. I will be checking out more of Kate Bush's stuff though :)
