so intense. frags were great, loved the camera shakes on rocket explosions and what not, and there were some very vibrant colors used.

Never played Quake 3 seriously. Can you hit a rocket in the ground to get an extra jump , without getting any damage?

Depends on game settings. Usualy on clan arena there is no selfdamage.
