  • How big were your wheels

  • this video sucks ass

  • what did you use for the back wheels, im doing this project and i cant find things like them wheels at all

  • This would be a dq at SECME

  • did you use a part of the fishing pole for the lever on the mouse trap

  • What did you use for the wheels ?

  • 1:04 'Losers' lol

  • how did you make that?

  • that's Cool!

  • @ekoros1029 u use a plain old mousetrap, then using the element of kinetic energy u transfer the energy of the mousetrap snapping through like a piece a wood connected to the axle of the back wheels

  • how did u make that? please reply back!

  • hey nice vid but did u put any metals on the wheels or did u just cut out part of it?

  • blonde chick in the beginning is pretty fine

  • Your'e 5 people? In my school we all have to build one alone.

  • @Ericnorify same !!! it sucks

  • Wow. I would probably win a prize for making this. haha too bad i aint that smart. Great Video it gave me some ideas Thanks :)

  • if the tape measure was straight then it would been just 12 feet!

  • how did you make this?

  • pauze at 0:01

  • Um.. where does the mousetrap come into play? It looked like the stored energy was in the trimmed carbon fiber fishing rod and the elastic band, wound tightly around the axel. Also TO THE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTANDING THE WHEEL DESIGN, counterbalancing of the rear wheels helps by using the wheel's potential energy as say the first gear in a car, it helps it achieve its initial momentum and the energy stored elsewhere maintains momentum until depleted. Now where does the mouse trap come into play. PLZ

  • How did you make this?? I have to make on for my science class! :/

  • that kid is ugly as fuck what greaser hah bitch

  • Awesome

  • HI guys! this looks awsome!!! but how did you place the rubberband to the mousetrap??? Help!

  • u shouldve balanced the wheels

  • Comment removed

  • WOW! Good idea by using the flexi carbon from a fishing pole! Thumbs up!

  • that was awesome big distance i like it. :)

  • that was awesome big ditance i like it. :)

  • Good work. Maybe just reduce the weight in the back wheels a small amount but overall, excellent work. Sad how the jealous losers have to make negative posts though.

  • s<Smdmndjsalxperktrdmf,zxcv l m,vxclskdmkjvkscmsdfvdfsgfjk

  • fagets.......fagets

  • in case nobody noticed 94 + 17 is NOT 112, dumbass physics teacher

  • @fuckingazz in case you would stfu and listen, he said 95+17

  • UGH! I have to look this up for some dumb project in my science class

  • lol guys in the background, "mornin bob."

  • Haha, these guys are taking the video way too seriously xD "Mine was better, pfff" lmao. But, as a man who loves his tools, seeing that tape measure all coiled up like that... Got all choked up D:

  • at 1:06 it got stuck

  • if you didnt have those things on the backs wheels it would have gone further

  • @Arandomguy96 no those things give it more w8 on one part so in will move better dah

  • what an elegant little car

  • mine was way better when i was in physics

  • @dacasman prove it

  • its ok i wont comment on the rubberbands and things that u arent usually allowed

just dont call it a mousetrap car

  • I'm making one but I'm only in seventh grade mine went 106 ft

  • y do that loser say ya at the end, fuckin losers

  • como se hace?

  • 0:31 Ice ice baby.. serious? Need attention much... hooker

  • what are your back wheels?

  • camera mans shit

  • how tall is your car?

  • in my science calss we can use kits and we have to make a "creative" car. my group is making a monster truck out of monster energy cans

  • @morebetterful videotape it and post it! Just make sure the camera man can actually, u know use a camera decent enough, oh and some close ups while still to show how it was designed. Thanks

  • i can't use rubber bands, and we aren't allowed to use kits. It sucks.

  • ur car is shit u fucks

  • I spam you all

  • i have to make mine go realy fast i

  • i have to make mine go 7 m and then stop

  • Can u tell me how u made tht I need to find out how

  • @yourajerk25785 hahaha WOW, that defeats the purpose of even building one, YOU are supposed use that thing between your ears to come up with a creative design that works AND they are making it FUN..... if you have to copy someone to make a Mousetrap car then I feel bad for you, come up with this on your own, a fun homework assignment! You dont get much of them and if you dont change your TOTAL view on learning or creativity, then at least practice this, WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT??

  • @decathlete112 im making it for an assignment im just looking for idea's most people just want good marks

  • I know that someone from Mr.Papers class at TJH is looking at this, I am so using this idea so back off

    -Scott, 4th period

    P.S. BACK OFF

  • @scottyzz1 my name scott to lol

  • @neufele I'm a Human too lol thats crazy running into another human on here, wow the internet is such a small place (a big smile and happy sigh).........wow

  • That went super far. i'm doing a mouse trap car now maybe i should copy u jk lol.

  • that run only used the energy of the compresed fishing pole....the trap never even came forward

  • your lucky we are only allowed to use paper for our body. and string for take off.. no fishing pole or rubber bands. :(

  • The extra umph helped :)

  • fuck you

  • DAMN! if only I could do that. :( need it for science.

  • LOL white folks.

  • man, why cant my physics class just need a car to go a distance? our cars have to fight each other over a hill!! stupid ap.

  • Weighted wheels seemed like a mistake. You still had a lot of moustrap left at the end.

BTW, i got 120 (somehow...), two moustraps and a lot of luck.

  • Yes, that Fishing pole would be an outside force thus defeating the purpose of the mousetrap....i was going to also use rubber bands but thats also storing potential energy...

  • LOL. You made a comment using the SAME exact words from someone in my Physics class. xD

  • yeah exactly. btw look at the responce to this video. it helped me a lot and im sticking to that idea. so far my car is goin about 210 ft on average.

  • wouldnt fishing pole tips be using an outside force? because it has its own potential energy. at least thats what my phys teacher says.

  • The cheese counterweights on the wheels do not make the car go farther - in fact they decrease the distance the car can go. The only way they could give the car a boost is if they start at the top when the car first starts - but all they really do is add potential energy to the car. It is another "little cheat."

  • why so many views lol

  • it's a main project in schools.

  • Uhm - don't call this a mouse trap powered car - call it a bent fishing pole powered car. I didn't see the mousetrap provide ANY of the power.

  • The mouse trap provided some of the energy but they also did sneak a rubberband and some potential energy was also provided by the fishing pole so I guess in a way, you're right...since the bar didn't actually snap down completely...

  • Please see my video response "Simple Mousetrap Car goes 138 feet" for a true mousetrap powered car. (Then find my little "cheat" without looking at my comment on it!)

  • who the hell was singing ice ice

  • Where did you get those wheels?

  • two things i would change to this car.

    1. either make the car longer so that the tip of the fishing rod is at the back axle WITHOUT being wrapped up or cut the rod shorter.

    2. the wheels on this car r designed to give the car an extra boost every turn due to the gravitational field force pulling down on the added weight. if they had turned one wheel to be 90 degrees from the opposite wheel, it would have increased speed and extra displacement. if u want a more descriptive answer, msg me.

  • hello. you got any tips on home to make a car that goes fast

  • i need a in auto

some 1 help me give me ida

  • how does it keep moving forward

  • douchebags.

  • does this really count as a mouse trap car? the fishing rod did all the work, the mouse trap did nothing...

  • the mousetrap really just acts as a trigger in this car. without it, this car is useless :)

  • learn physics

  • but the people only stepped 63 times...

  • Thats a long way

  • Where can you get wheels like that?

  • this is cool but its kinda cheaing if its enterd in a compeition becouse allot of energy was stored in the stick that pulls the axel and most cometionswont even let you extend the stick anyways

  • ice ice baby (i love this song)........ice ice baby

  • first of all.....nice vid. i have to do this for my tech class and i was wondering.....what was the metal rod . Another questions is.....if u have bigger wheels does that make u go faster...please reply soon i need it for my project. BYE !!

  • Bigger wheels = longer distance, because the distance your car will travel per turn is equal to the circumferance of the back wheels

  • fucking LAME video!!!

  • ahhhahaha your class actualy has girls lol

    ours only has 2

  • my tech class has none

  • He cheated, because the bent wire metal arm had stored energy as well as the mouse trap..bad luck nerdy

  • which one of you dickheads is the guy at the start, fuck you guy at the start....nah just joking of course. i am doing this project and your ideas really moved me in a better direction. very good work!!!

  • This thing= for nerdy hippies

  • Cool.

  • you smell

  • how did you make the back wheels?

  • very good design but i need my 1 to go heaps fast and straight lol

  • he cheated in the wheels lol. The rims are offset weight, fat advantage

  • how dd u make tht

  • Comment removed

  • wow. i JUST finished my car, and i know its a peice of shit

  • wizards right by bending the fiberglass pole you probably tripled the power everyone else had

  • i was going to use a fiberglass pole but it was cheating in our competition...

  • You're right, and you know. I have this really big mouse trap car out in my driveway (I bought it from honda). It goes pretty far, Although it has an internal combustion engine in it. And I removed the mouse trap because I didn't need it anymore.

Maybe I should enter that into the competition. Then I would surely win... It's not cheating, it is an improvement on the concept.

  • Cool, but your wheels (espacilly in front) are to wide... i guess that's why it's so slow

  • It's supposed to be slow for long distance so it will store up enough energy...

  • you are genius. i need you help. i have the same project :/

  • Comment removed

  • how did you get the fishing rod attached to it?¿

  • of course it could go 112 ft...you guys bended the extension stick..more force and extra power.

  • not a fishing rod its a dilal rod

  • he cheated. he used a fishing rod to store kinetic energy

  • OMG you fail sooooo bad the mousetrap almost doesnt have a fuction... you could better but the fishing rod there and leave the moustrap out...

  • This is cheating. You stored tons of energy in the fishing rod rather then the mouse trap.

And the teacher should be fired for not noticing this. How is he supposed to teach students if he doesn't know basic physics?

  • hahahaha thats fuckin funny as hell. yea dumbasses tht teach these kids..this kid in the video looks incessed

  • fishing rod is genius!!!!

  • Hey doint this project right now, how did you attach the fishing rod to the trap??

Do you have tips you guys could spare, i have to do this project all by my self since i got stuck with a bad partner

  • nice wheels. :P was ur string permanently attached to the drive axel?

  • WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR WHEELS?

  • how did you do that? i need help on mine

  • ice ice baby!

  • Omg the guys at the beginnning is so fucking ugly XD

  • DANG DUDE!!

  • just wow why would u put this on u tube?

  • HOw did you do this? I have a physics class i've got to do this for.. How did you do it?

  • that is so boring

  • Real geeks always go metric ... so 34.1376 meters ;-)

  • i like ur shoes aha

  • the one i made for my sister went atleast 10 times faster than that

  • speed doesnt matter, it's about the distance

  • not the one in flip flops though

  • that chick is hot

  • you should make an instructions video

    or send me instructions.

im so confused on mousetrap cars (:

  • hey what did you use for the wheels

  • hey dude,i have to do this thing in Physics and we have to knock the egg of other car's off, like a joust thingy, this is really great

  • Haha everyone did this in middle school?

I just turned mine in a couple days ago for my 11th grade physics class.

    I feel late. lol

  • i havent even turned mine in im a junior too s im hella late

  • I'm just finishing mine up and I'm in grade 9.

  • dude yours is awesome i had that same idea to use a fishing pole as the lever but mine went 63 ft and won but im in middle school so it wasnt that bad

  • What did they use for weights on the tires? And how much weight is it?

  • Hey can anyone tell me how the rod thing works cause i'm still a little confused about that???!!

  • man I have to do this for my 8th grade science class

AHHHH I dont fell like it =/

  • so do iiiiii. ughh i wonder if i know you...

  • ahhh I spent 10 hours on it it took 4 different cars to get one that worked

  • Can you explain to me exactly how that rod function works and it's purpose in moving the car.

  • how far did it go

  • well if you would have read the title it says 112 feet

  • so you jsut got alot of sting wound up around the axel

how do you get it to keep rolling after the the spring off the mouse trap dies down

  • if the wheels where just a straigth line in there, i will contenyou longer

  • nice, i only had ten minutes to make mine with whatever was in the room. it sucked it only went like two feet

  • oh wow that haaad to be hard.

  • yawm

  • I've got to agree that most of the momentum of their car came from the bent over fishing pole piece. I'm also doing this same thing for engineering class and the rules clearly state that "all propulsion must be from the mousetrap only". I guess they're a little softer on the rules where you guys come from. Fishing rod would be disqualified here in Utah.

  • how did you mount the fishing rod?

  • how did yall do that.. i really would like to know :)

  • clearly didnt go 112 ft

    maybe 112 inches

  • Ya, it would have to go ALOT faster or take longer to get there.
