  • If I wasn't retired I would love to have worked for you creating these most beautiful instraments.

  • As if the Ukulele building was not enough, kicking the video off with Patty Griffin? Magic guys- pure magic.

  • Do I understand Eddie Vedder visited your shop last month? Is he currently playing your instruments?

  • @thiorend We usually don't comment or report on the people that visit the shop in order to protect their privacy. Yes, he plays one of our instruments.

  • So nice to see the way the ukes are made, and the care and attention to detail. The radiussed fretboard is a great idea.

  • I hope this company stays small like this. I think I would like to have one someday.

  • What a beautiful place to live and work. I can see that you are truly blessed.

The care and attention that you both put into each instrument is clearly evident.

  • i love the fact that you and Char are really still a mom amd pop operation. I just bought my Mya-moe tradition from Greg Wheat in Portland and have not put it down since. You both put out a beautiful instrument with such love and care. I am proud to own one of these little beauties.,,,,

  • miss you guys! can't wait till august! Imagine what we'll get done with three!

  • thanks, Gerald! We're looking forward to the next one. Or, maybe we should just meet at some great Indian restaurant somewhere?

  • Nice video Gordon & Char. Nice place to live and build instruments. It was great spending time with you two over the last few weeks. See you in the fall.

  • Even though I have been to your shop, I really enjoyed your video tour. And I am really enjoying my mango uke. Thanks for your dedication to the art of building fine instruments .

  • Thanks for the tour, I can see the love you put into your work.

  • You are great people! Thanks for sharing your video and sponsoring the Ukulele Underground contest. I go to Oregon every other month with my ukulele to see my niece in Doernbecher Hospital in Portland. She loves the ukulele and it brings her so much joy. Thank you for spreading the love of the Ukulele! Because you give so much, others will give too! Thanks. : )

  • Everybody in Oregon should own one :)

  • I live in Oregon; how the heck I don't have one of these??????????

  • Ahh my brother's going to NYU next year! (:

I'm thinking about getting one of your ukuleles soon :D

  • very cool shop tour. thanks for sharing!

  • It's lovely to see how passionate you are about uke's, it really is. And that is some stunning scenery!

  • Thanks for the tour! I loved it...you just went to the top of my ukulele want list! ;)

  • Now I want one more than ever! Thanks for the tour.

  • What a lovely tour! I love how the shop is just open, not a warren of little rooms but just one one crammed with lots of things to make delightful ukes. Makes me wish I could have a real tour, next time I'm in the Pacific Northwest!

I have to ask...Char? Are you one of the singers and players in that 'Diamonds on the Souls of her Shoes' viddy? Oh man, that would be a great coincidence. I ADORE that viddy and watch it over and over. :) It made me want to learn that song.

  • I love shops, I love ukes. Perfect!
