One question I've got to ask you. It looks like this gun has a considerable recoil. Am I right? I would love to shoot one of these babies but I can't find any shooting range near me where they would have one:(
@ciastekwuzet1 If you've never shot a 9mm before (or anything above that) then it'll seem like it has a lot of kick to it. You get used to it quickly. It'd be my ideal self defense weapon
Nice shooting! Have a 92fs also and love it. Got an American Eagle 9mm Luger today. Anxious to see how it compares. Will post video. Again, great shooting.
@Wingnut172N Yeah, I've had a much harder time getting the same grouping you got with my S&W 4506. It's such a big pistol and the slide kicks back pretty damn hard, but nothing I couldn't handle.
@stagarms15 gotta tell ya, I own both a Glock in .357 sig and a beretta 92fs in 9, and the Glock took me much longer to feel comfortable with, acquiring the proper grip and always griping it with consistency was an issue for a while, it sorta feels like your holding something other than a gun, but once you get usto it, you could shoot 2'' groups at 15yds, and 1 1/2 at 7yds all day. The Beretta has a more classic feel to it, you can actually wrap your entire hand around it comfortably.
As long as your pointing downrange you dont have to worry about an accidental discharge. Keep your finger off the trigger until your ready to shoot. The Beretta has that half cock catch so the hammer doesnt immediately go to the pin unless you pull the trigger...
That's true...it also has a firing pin block in addition to half cock. The nature of the comment was just to make sure the weapon is pointed downrange at all times, which it was, but just a friendly reminder. A double check never hurt anyone. Aviation and firearms are two businesses where a second set of eyes ALWAYS helps.
Thats true. I only commented that because of all the people who were commenting your vids like " OMG WHAT IF YOU WOULDVE HAD AN AD MAN!?!?!?" haha. good vid. Im picking mine up in a week!
It's Impact Guns in Utah. I have the range down on the video as 7 yards...but I think it's farther than that looking at the vid now. I can't honestly remember, and I didn't label the video when I took it.
What I was referring to was when you took the safety off and drew the hammer back, the gun was still down, and then you brought it up , Not trying to be critical, just had a friend have an AD and I've seen it too many times with other folks... Safe shooting!
Good point. I'll start thumbing back the hammer once the weapon is on target, if I do it at all. As of late I've been trying to get aquainted with the DA first shot and SA follow up. Not a problem on my 1911, something I've got to get used to with the M9
How would using single action yield an AD? The half-cock notch would catch the hammer if it slipped out form under my thumb, and my finger was off the trigger at this point?
Appreciate your comment, just curious how an AD would result is all.
word of advice, I have a 92fs, dont draw the hammer before the gun is up, i promise you, eventually will you will have an accidental discharge, if your lucky, it will go through the ceiling, and not your leg, or the person standing next to you
I really agree on this being a very short range video.
This was when we first bought the pistol. Now I'm shooting out to 50 yards with it. Groups aren't as tight, but they're still respectable. I think that somebody should be comfortable with their weapon everywhere between 3 - 50 yards.
Yeah, but I am sure that you, like me, bought your 92FS to also have fun... I don't think giving props to someone for a good grouping at 7 yards is in order.
Besides, I was out camping and picking huckleberries a few weeks ago when I came across a group of fool hens and shot one straight through the hear with my 92FS from 15 yards. That's when the longer range practice comes in handy. :)
Sorry, I don't mean to dis another Baretta owner.
Because pistols are actually designed for 200 yard shots from roof-tops, right? I mean, who would use a pistol to fight off a home invasion, or to stop a rushing attacker inside a store?
is this at iron sights in oceanside Ca, ?

excellent grouping, you are the only few people who shot their targets after theyve shot. everyone should do that.

"you only fired 10 rounds? my clip holds 15. maybe jus wasnt loaded all the way."
Depends on where the pistol was purchased from.
If it was bought in California, that would explain it as 15 round magazines are illegal there.

real good shooting man! has your control over the recoil improved since then?
scprotector1 1 year ago
@scprotector1 Yeah, since then I've bought a Springfield 1911, and shooting the .45ACP has made my control over the 9mm much better...
