If it doesn't have a catchy 3 chord melody with pointless lyrics, and play three times a day on MTV people don't like it. With that being said, this music doesn't give Canada a bad name. It gives American music a bad name, because it is so much better than the crap that is on the radio here.

The truth is the indie scenes in the two countries are related-Lead singer Winn Butler of Arcade Fire, a Canadian Band, is from Texas, for instance.

The bottom line is this indie rock is far superior than everything on mainstream radio.
