  • She broke her leg running in a straight line...it was a beautiful sunny day and i was taking pictures of the horses playing...watch all three videos to get the whole story.

  • how did she break it? just being silly? i hope she recoverd well!

  • Comment removed

  • Good to see her all healthy. Most lame horses get the....Ca-chunk treatment.

  • The very best of luck with her . You deserve it for having the patience and of course the heart to do this . Bless you .

  • Respekt ...ihr habt das Fohlen nicht aufgegeben!

Ich würde gern wissen, wie es ihm jetzt geht.Ich hoffe, ihre Bemühungen haben sich gelohnt und es ist wieder ganz gesund!

  • SO CUTE

  • OH MY GOD that is the most CUTEST thing Ive ever seen and Im not exaggerating OMG I want her so badly its not even funny

  • how did she brake her leg please respond

  • Glue factory,

  • That is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever witnessed! And also good for you at giving her another chance, I know so many people who would have just put her down :( This just goes to show what strong and amazing creatures horses are. I'm so happy that you can ride her and continue with her as a healthy horse! I hope that this just encourages everyone else to give their injured horses time and commitment.

Good luck with her in the future x

  • So glad you gave her a second chance!

  • I'm so glad to know that she's recovering.

The video that I watched and the one that was the reason this video was recommended to me didn't end as nearly as happily.... It was of Ruffian's break down. Very depressing. I'm glad your video ends very happily! :-)

  • how did she brek t? do y'all know?

  • AWWW HES SOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg this is amazing some people would put her down but u gave her a second chance <333

  • she's so skippy and bouncy !

  • Aww poor horse. I betcha ur taking/took great care of it.

  • Who ever put this video on is very sick to their mind and should never own a horse again. If your horse breaks its leg then you should do whatever you can to help it. Not put it on YouTube.com for everyone to see. Yall disgust me!

  • @Horses4Ever711 Ummm, read the description and maybe bother watching the video? She had broken her leg 2 1/2 months ago...and is recovering with a brace on the leg. They obviously did do everything they did to help her. I'm pretty sure paying to have a horse's broken leg repaired is pretty expensive, and not an easy thing to accomplish. Watch the video. Read the description. :)

  • @Horses4Ever711 They did help it, the filly has a cast on. Why don't you watch the video before replying. It just makes you look stupid

  • @Horses4Ever711 read the description they did do everything they could and the horse is fone a vet would probably have given the filly a brace to begin with or suggest puttin her down this is a miracle and alot of people are glad they put this video up :)

  • i am glad she is recovering... no offence but i wouldnt put a swing in a horses paddock.

  • Take that you hoofed scum

  • hmmm did she break her leg on the TREE SWING that is in her paddock?!?!?!?

  • Cool trick, teaching it to roll over! I thought only dogs did that!

  • @starlightp21 - yeah..not a trick, they do that quite naturally

  • is she okay now?

  • is she doing fine now??

  • poor her!!! That's terrible! :(

  • aww poor little thing ..soooooooooooooo cute...glad she all better now x

  • does she like blankets now?

  • Lovely to see!!!!!

  • So you'll be able to ride her?

  • ahhh.... so sweet.. glad you gave her a chance.. <3

  • she obviously didnt break it as bad as our weanling who spent 3mnths in a stable and had numerous operations and spent about 5mnths in a cast with us having to half carry her evrywhere til she was better...she will never be ridden as her knee is stuffed and doesnt bend properly but they intend on breeding from her when she is old enough...your filly is very cute and im glad she is doing better and that you will be able to ride her =)

  • i love how you gave her a second chance most ppl would put her down

  • she is tooo cuteee !

  • my filly is 2 1/2 weeks old and her leg is broke its swollen on the knee part and its just dragging but she can move the leg, my parents and other vets dont wanna put her down but i think we should. she can run just fine but is there anyway to fix her leg?

  • @animalrights800 get the vet to brace it see if that works

  • Aww :( My NEW horse rolled next to the fence and ripped his tendon, just got him back into work last tuesday after beinng off since september, and he's better than he used to be, the rest did him good.

  • Such wonderful news about Tillie and what a gorgeous girl she is too!!

  • AWW That's the cutest little filly ever!!

  • Thats so nice to see that you didnt gave her up or that she wasnt gived up (? sorry for my english:P) and that she recovers :) so cute :)

  • Good on it! Gorgeous little thing, glad she's doing well.

  • aww good luck little baby, get better :)

  • A horse walks into a bar......oh......

  • Always amaxing. I love how animals will live life to the fullest despite their grievences. It's good to see she still has a great quality in her life. Lucky horse to have owners like you who are seeing this through.

  • May fence can damage the horse

  • adorable!

  • She's so cute! I ♥ her! :P

  • she is funny and cute at the same time pore thing it doesn't like it's leg brace.

  • how did she braek her leg and will she be able to be ridden when she is old enough

  • I love horses , good luck with that beautiful filly

  • That's great(: I'm glad you were able to save her!

  • shes got a broken leg and shes runnning round, why is she not in a small enclosure so it is able to heal properly?? Even with the broken leg she looks so happy

  • hope she recovers fast and well

  • someone wants her blanket off

  • Aww, he looks like a hopping bunny when he gets forward :3

  • this is so cute, how did she break her leg?

  • so what its a broken leg our horse has a broken hip!!no joke!.when she was little her mom ran right over the top of her!

  • "so what its a broken leg"

Yeah, because a large half ton flight animal breaking their leg is no big deal.

  • I know- my idiot sister made that comment using my account. its a stupid thing to say

  • Thanks for posting this. I am trying to rehab my horse with a broken leg. No vets would give me hope, but he is doing well!

  • aww that was great that you gave her a

    2nd chance.

and she looks like she's doing good too.

  • Make sure that you all see our related video and you will see beginning until Dec...We are now moving into summer and she bucks, kicks and runs like any other yearling. i will try and post another video...You will not believe her recovery...we are truely blessed with a miracle!

  • aww poor thing thing i would never put my pony down

  • i think its fantastic that youve given her a chance, good luck with her

    XxX

  • Thats wonderful, I'm glad to see she's ok :D

  • good luck, she is beautiful :)

  • I hope all of you see our longer version of this video...GOOD news today 2-20-09 we took off the knee brace and she is walking and playing like any other 9 month old...The vet says that we will be showing and riding her at the normal times. She is featured in the Feb, 2009 POA National magazine. Thanks for your support and nice comments.

  • That is so so mean. Do not say that! Not all horses are put down when they break there leg.

  • How is it mean? Because i'm honest? Horses are rarely ever sound after having broken a leg. They have to have all four to stand on, they can't lay down all the time and by not using that leg the muscles waste away. Get real and grow up. I'm not mean, I live in the real world

  • My friend's horse broke his leg when he was 4 and recovered fully and is now a show jumper competing at high levels. He is completely sound and barefoot and hasn't an issue.

  • I do believe you are an idiot.

And you do not "shoot" horses, you euthanize them.

  • Yes, sug... You can shoot a horse and that is perfecty humane... Ask your vet next time you go.. Any vet will tell you a quick well placed shot to the head is just as humane as chemical euthanazua...

  • NO, it isn't shooting a horse is more painful, and sometimes doesn't kill right away.

Obviously, people like you should not have horses or animals.

  • Your really rather stupid and this is the last time I'm going to reply.. If you were less stupid you could have read my post and understood that I said a well placed shot is just as humane.. Unless your terrified I'm right, call your vet and ask... But of course you won't since you know I'm right... Have a good day with your stupidity

  • I asked my vet he said the better way is to use euthanasia.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, we all have no idea how the horses feel when HUMANS kill them.

  • Comment removed

  • Why in the world are you attacking me?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh no! I was just taught that euthanasia was a good thing. Sorry.

  • Since when do horses commit suicide???

There's a ifference between accident and on purpose.

  • Comment removed

  • lol you really are blonde eh? Horses don't intentionally bash their heads on stable walls...they roll to escape the pain, and accidently bash their heads because there isn't enough room or they've rolled too close the wall, horses can hurt themselves just rolling for pleasure, they don't always choose the best places to have a roll...horses have a survival instinct and will try to stay alive untill they no longer physically can.

  • I saw It on a televison programme and assumed it to be true! They said ' horses are one of the only animals that can commit suicide' and to be honest I wasn't 100% convinced... And when I was working in an animal shelter I was told that shooting is always better because they are such big animals and it would take longer for them to pass away. So i'm sorry if what I said was wrong but I've been misinformed!

  • Wow genius, there is stuff in the crap they use to euthanize that knocks the horse down THEN shuts down all its organs, the horse feels no pain or discomfort

  • Comment removed

  • @Chronology07 - although they do give the animal a shot to sedate them it isnt very pain relieving. You can ask any vet about chemical euthanasia and they will tell you that it can still be painful to the animal, so they do feel some pain and discomfort.

  • Hi everyone

Just wanted to let you all know that Tillie is running, bucking and kicking like any other yearling. We thought that we would give her a chance because she is so kind. Boy were we given back all her love.

  • I have seen horses shot with bolt pistols, they don't always die instantaniously but writhe on the floor, stretching their legs out before finally dying, it's a very violent death.

  • Comment removed

  • @joyzerelly - Shooting a horse in the correct place on the head can result in a pain free and quick death. It doesnt usually matter how an animal is euthanised, it will still continue to move and twitch afterwards. It happens because of electrical impulses remaining in the peripheral nerves of the body after brain waves have ceased.

  • good luck xxxx
