Nice restoration and customization. If you need new seat upholstery, Saddlemen's makes a very nice-looking new upholstery that is much better than the original. What EMGO pipes did you use and what mods were needed to fit them in place of the OEM ones? The '83 CX650C was one of the best bikes Honda ever made in terms of character, distinctive looks, riding position, and general enjoyability. Not a bad performer either...lots of low-end torque and 70hp output not bad for a 650.
hello....i take it the cx-t is rare because i cant fine one anywere online but i know were one is...it has been sitting sence the 90's...i think it is a 84 cx-t500 rare or not? thanks
In Land O Lakes....Missing...Carb issue or something...Got race fuel and sentry in it...Loose vacuum line of pass carb rear just laying there? unmetered air....Plugs were at less than 20 thousanths..
Sure go ahead. It is in the same condition as the video? How much did you pay for it? Are you in Florida? There's a thread on bikerflorida-dot-com about the bike.
thats nice looking, i like the red, check out what i did to my cx650 i chopped it. go to my vids and let me know what you think. the vid is called punisher chopper
i have tons of questions. I'll look up the build first but before i do whats up with the front end.
I want to say thats from a GL500 but the handlebars are sick! I'm looking for something along the lines of that but because these are older double clamp style bars i can't quite find any that are tall like yours.
I've got a '82 CX Custom i recently found and started working on. Fun bikes :)
It's funny that you would say that because they were originally supposed to be the same color red. But, the powder coater messed it up and the color was off. I had to paint them black.
Nice! I didn't even think about painting the heads on mine... I'm working on bobbing my CZ 650C right now. Then end is finaly in sight too... Let me know about one of those starters you have, Mine was getting tempermental last fall when I put it away and started the tear down on it.
Thanks. Those aren't straight pipes they actually have baffles in them. I still have the center collector, too. They sound great. They are made by Emgo. You can get them at JC Whitney. They basically bolt right on.
Thanks. Basic things to look out for on this bike is water pump seal, stator, rectifier, and starter. Timing chain also above 40k miles. I think I have 5 starters in my attic if you want one cheap. Let me know.

Those Emgo pipes have baffles in them, plus there still is the center collector baffle. But, yes I went up two sizes on the main jet.

Those are mean looking tires on that bike. Where did you pick them up at and who makes them? Also what size? They would look good on my cx650c

Consider painting the front engine hangers the same color as the heads/frame. It would complement the lines of the painted frame begind the engine.
