Ive been working out since I was 16, weight lifting, different forms of cardio, jiu jitsu etc ( very active) I'm 27 now and I've given crossfit a few try's with a few different trainers. Crossfit will get you in shape no doubt about that, but at what cost? The movements are jerky, anyone doing crossfit is extremely prone to injury. I can't stress enough how bad the form is. I'll stick to weight lifting, yoga and various cardio.
got 165 total but only managed two rounds. i felt like puking by then and i think id get banned from my gym if i did lol. gonna try again same time next week :)
@915olivares11 Dude.. If you go into Crossfit to loose fat, you are going in for the wrong reason.. You do Crossfit to be healthy.. Loosing fat and getting stronger and fitter are the nice side effects of this sort of training.
Or put it this way, you do crossfit 4 to 5 times a week, and watch what you eat, it would be impossible to to NOT loose fat.
@killax7 What has watching someone make your food got to do with anything? What are you eating? What are you watching them cook? Burgers? Deep fried anything?
Eat good healthy food in healthy proportions for your size and age and exercise. I cannot be more simple.
Join a Crossfit gym. Just do it. Talk to the trainers there about what you should be eating.
Real athletes encourage others, no matter what their current level. It does not matter how good you are, if you're talking others down you're a disgrace to your club, your sport and sports in general. All that matters is, everyone who's working out today got off the couch while most of the population didnt. And every real athlete knows that somewhere in China, a preschool girl is warming up with his 1RM. So stay humble, encourage others or STFU.

work on that erg form and things will be a whole lot easier, more calories and it'll seem easier. if you do it right the erg should be somewhat of a rest during this workout. im a rower so i may be slightly biased lol
