I was an avid WoW player for almost 2 years, and now that I took a small break finally from it, because it really started to feel like a job, I played my old Kotor games. I looked into SWTOR Because (Spoiler ALERT!!) Revan makes a comeback in SWTOR! :O

It looks a hell of alot better then WoW, but I still have an active sub that was recently renewed. I'm going to SWTOR when it ends. Also, SWTOR is new, it has alot of potential still. WoW is old.

@MrBazooka34 True, but Halo has no commendable squads, marines are puny and Arbiter is in Halo 3 only as a main character. (Which is usable in co op, which rules him out) In Halo: Reach, that could have worked, but it was not as strategic, it did no require you to do that. IE Fucking Super Battle Droids!

there was indeed a sequel named Star Wars:Imperial Commando but the project was canceled at 2004.Only the new game's art was ready by that time.I dont know why they canceled tho but i hate em for that.No explanation about sev though.(Searched it in Wikipedia)

To all you wondering "Why isnt there a sequel?" Heres something for ya! There is indeed a continuation to Republic Commando, but it isnt a game. Its the book series by Karen Traviss under the same title "Republic Commando." It has all the characters you know and love from the game along with new ones, aswell as continuing the plot from the game. Google it, if you dont belive me.

This game deserve a fucking sequel. The soundtrack was perfect and the game play was just awesome. I mean really, how many games have actually allowed you to control YOUR team-mates. The story although short, was great. And I like the fact that they focused more on the troopers than the Jedis. They are pretty much the unsung heroes.

And it should have an improved multiplayer, and a co-op mode. It disapointed and confused the crap out of me that this game had no co-op; I mean, the premise is that you play as a squad of 4 commandos, so... why is there only a single player campaign mode???
