  • Imagine this happening 3 times ...

Just happened outside of my other house...

  • Karalho!!!

  • Bang at 00:21seconds

  • @aahmad87 not very big

  • They must pack this shit with fireworks so when it explodes people will have something to enjoy while their lights go out.

  • @PayneProdutions

Believe it or not your statement is partially true!! Expulsion fuse links are packed in boric acid. When the link heats and opens, the borax instantly and violently flashes into a non-conductive gas to quench the arc. This results in the tremendous "BOOM" you hear when one of these fuses opens.

This video has no transformers!! Simple phase to ground fault with limited current. You guys are gonna give transformers a persecution complex!!

  • Optimus NOOOO, oh wait different transformer

  • touch it

  • @gregmilev32 i did lol :)

  • A transformer blow up near my house last night at 2am and it was so f-ing loud!!

  • that's just chuck norris welding

  • @EMaster9 with his penis

  • I doubt that was the transformer. The arc eventually drew enough current to blow the fuse on the cutout supplying it. When they go it can sound like a shotgun blast, but it doesn't damage anything.

  • @ApolloWasReal I like how people actuly think they know what they are talking about

  • wheres the auto bots

  • wen those fuckers explode wen lightning hits them u better be far away the bang is massive and the sound is well over 198-210 decibles trust me i had a lightning bolt hit 1 directly behind my house and BOOOM!!!

  • Damn Squirrels

  • Houston we have a big problem

  • I see where you have a problem.

  • "ahhh.... I see where ur problem is..."

  • uhhhh º.º :D lol

  • popcorns ready

  • was that your pet parrot? you should be more careful with your pets!!!

  • I have been sending the Idiots from the "Strange light" Japanese Earthquake video here. They seem to think UFO’s, Jesus, and HAARP caused the earthquake…

  • It didn't explode. The loud bang was a fuse blowing.

  • Lol notice that ALL the lights you can see go out XD

  • That happened to me before and that's when they just put up new ones. But if only caused a power surge.

  • and i hope we all understand.. whats lurking from our powerlines!!!

  • I blew one of these up with a sling shot.I took a metal bearing and shot at it and blew it up

  • I dread to think what it would be like if that happened to our transformer (ok, its actually a substation). The transformer itself weighs 1.5 tonnes without the huge amount of oil in it.

  • last month four of these went off about 200 feet, in one night... it was pretty strange

  • Mine did that once it was cool! I woke up to an explosion and when I looked out the window I noticed a tree fell on the power line and was on fire! Big flames for like an hour till the electricians came, it went out like right before they came.

  • every good video goes out witha bang

  • Only in America

  • well theres your problem! xD

  • dude this happened to me last night, i watched it happen and it was waaaaaaayyyy bigger than that, thankfully nobody got hurt but that was real scary

  • I can just remember that smell...

  • This happened in my backyard....blew the bucket right off the pole.

It was just rusty, old, and worn-out. Part of my siding on my garage melted, and there was all kinds of electrical pieces and wood all over my lawn. I still have half of one of those ceramic Westinghouse voltage cap thing-a-ma-jigs that I found stuck in my bushes...

  • your mum TOLD you to turn off your printer! lol

  • @slipshodcoqbgg is this the same stuff that the mythbusters debunked? That and the last time I checked you cant get something out of nothing >_>

  • @BlackThunder885

If you take mythbusters seriously you're ALMOST as much as a sucker as someone who takes 'free energy' scams seriously...

  • Lol

  • FREE POPCORN AND FIREWORKS!

  • lol green arc?

  • @Christiandellen The greenish/blueish colors often seen when electric power "goes bad", is due to copper wiring, lugs etc; copper burns with a blue-green color. Pyrothechnicians also use copper salts to make blue colored effects in their fireworks.

  • Boom !

    XD

  • i think you have a problem there lol

  • @mdc2296

hahaha! it happened cuz it was raining... probably open wires or something.. but yea we didnt have power for like 4 5 hrs.. thankfully thats still very quick... compared to this other time when we had low voltage for 2 days!

  • @aahmad87 LOL luckily it didnt EXPLODE but rather the HV lead from the switch to the line or the switch to the transformer vopurized...but still impressive!! and i agree, brown outs suck

  • @aahmad87

    yeah rain...

Come on you were downloading too much pron and your computer sucked to much power :D

  • happend on my street it was scray boooooooooom i thought it was bomb :-0

  • Dude I'd never live near a transformer ..

  • @Phenox115 are u being sarcastic? because it would be pretty hard unless your a mountain man or something. every house with electricity has to be located near a transformer.

  • Unplug EVERYTHING NOW!

  • there was a truck that hit a power line on the fourth of july last year and that blue stuff that was flying out that was the stuff that was flying all a round and thumbs up for the lady that got pwnd by lighting through the radio

  • Lights out!

  • @lorrieandmatt, I noticed that at the end to when it all went dark , obviously it would caused a power failure.

  • hahaha it squeaked and then it blew up. :o

  • Thats awsome, I remeber when 3 of these went off behind my house - thats was a fun night...

  • pretty green arcs...

  • I love that sound

  • the one i have outside has done that....very loud!

  • really big bug zapper gone bad.

  • Transformers exploding are the scariest things to witness if you don't know what's going on... and when they pop... holy crap it sounds like someone just fired off a gun right next to your ear.

  • Had a storm a moth or so ago. The entire sky was green from all the transformer explosions

  • Comment removed

  • 1- A lot of misinformation here. Wood will conduct- watch what happens when a HV wire slips off a porcelain insulator onto a wooden cross-arm- it starts burning.

2- The voltage has nothing to do with number of phases- don't confuse split-phase residential power with three-phase commercial power. Split phase in just single phase with a grounded center-tap neutral so you can get both 120V & 240V from the same transformer.

3- The size of a wire is determined by the amperage- not the voltage.

  • it was storming really bad near my house and all the transformers in the city were exploding. anybody know why that would happen? there wasnt a single tornado but u could see the flash then the loud boom. the power company came on tv and said that they had it under control

  • lol they did't

  • Now now, Trolls. Don't fight on the internet. One of you can go to the others house and cut a powerline down on top of it and blow their house up. PROBLEM SOLVED!

  • @warkill201 It is a US law (and Canada).

It is illegal to hack an 11 year old because: 1.) Child Labor Laws. 2.) Computer Protection Agency. 3.) CIA/Goverment Regulations. 4.) YouTube Terms of Service Part 4 Section A.

  • @warkill201, Fine, go to prison. YOU are the one talking down to an 11-Year-old and apparently you hate 11 year olds.

  • I was just hyped up. Just forget about it.

  • Saw that in real life. Was like 5-10 metres away. With friend. Something just boomed and we saw everything, started to run because we was scared :D-

  • @ShawnGreenBungie, no, u suck.

  • People: Ohh... Ahh...

    Another guy: Pretty!

*Idiot goes and touches it. BOOM*

    Me: Assh***

  • -.- you can say asshole.... its not like we dont know what your saying when you add a *... its not like your going to hell for saying asshole.. on the internet..

  • @warkill201 shut up... I have people now and I say it I will get people... well... SHUT UP D*CK

  • @domki366 LOL!!!!!! get people.. dude this is the internet.. ok bi*ch XD!!! your gunna "have people run up in my youtube page" ??? get a pair of fuckin nuts.. i have people too shit.. how old are you 11?

  • @warkill201 yes I am 11, and you are being a total d*ck, motha-f*ckin' ass****.

  • @domki366 BUAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!! just for kicks im making a video of you.... LOL and yeah im that much of a d*ck xD!!!!!!

  • Did you delete that video about me because you were scared to get suspended from YouTube because I flagged it? HMMMMM????

  • @domki366 what if i flaged your canada won video because you disgraced the country chile when they just had an earthquake and lost some lives and the us... HMMMM???? AND WHAT ABOUT THAT VIDEO OF THE 4 CORNERS ON YOUR CHANNEL THAT WASNT YOURS!? HMMMMMMMMMMMM?????????

  • That is pretty dodgy. I hope you have eye protection. That gives of many types of radiation. Even though its pretty :)

  • Actually, the poster of this video is from Pakistan, so I think it's safe to assume that this is in Pakistan. LOL Not everything bad comes from the US.

  • @Strongsad38001 Hey! lol... North America has excellent grid construction!

  • Here in Germany, in the Village I live, the last power outage was 11 years ago, because of a lightning strike.. Power was out for 15 seconds, and we had quite a lot of severe storms in my area

  • actually i experience a lot of power outages during winter. not because of poor quality but because i live in the northwest where winters are severe. lots of 70+mph storms knocking over trees. but you are entitled to your opinion. however fact is that the US is the most advanced country today. and most powerful.

  • LMAO yeah including the most advanced power grid on earth.

  • ya its in pakistan. so GO CANADA POWER! you guys are awesome. fuckin fags

  • please explain...

  • Mislabeled: this transformer didn't "explode" or "go boom", it just arced for a while. If it had exploded, it would have ejected its core and burning coolant all over; it would be like a napalm attack. The cameraman filming this would likely have been burned to death if it had exploded.

  • i ment were i live

  • that happened around were i lie this weekend

  • sounds like a growling dog transformer

  • It's obvious really. Like all other transformers, this one's a robot in disguise. It's simply uncomfortable. XD

  • ...why?

  • quick! somebody grab that thing and bring it down!

  • Reminds me of arc welding; cool. No eye damage though.

  • thats exactly what i was thinking... you'd think the amps were high enough that it would still do damage to your eyes?

  • It is pretty spectacular, but the person is very close. At least it seems they are close. I don't think I would have stood there entranced by it, but that might be overly cautious. Stuff will screw your eyes up good.

  • @Parent33w Actually you can get the exact same eye damage.

  • @Parent33w Actually... It's pretty much the same thing and WILL cause eye damage... anyone who stares at an arcing/burning transformer deserves the Darwin award...

  • The bang is always on the end :D

  • @picobyte Murphie law. :D (or Morphie..? i don't know. :( )

  • It's quite surprising that this transformer continues to work right up to the very end where it explodes. When everything goes dark after the bang, it becomes apparent that the lights were indeed powered by that transformer.

  • or may be the explosion finally triggered the circuit breaker in the power plant xD

  • è successo anche a me, ho un trasformatore a solo 50 metri da casa.

    KA BOOM

  • Chama a eletropaulo

  • one time i was driving across a bridge and a transformer blew up except the whole night sky turned to this unearthy neon blue

  • Ooooooo pritey light!!!!!
