Tom Jones was Recruited by Burt Bacharac to replace Chuck Jackson! Dusty Springfield to cover Dionne Warwick! My ears told me that the Instant I heard them in the 60s. Then in the 90s on PBS TONY BROWN'S JOURNAL with coercion from Tony, Chuck confessed it! Said Tom Jones stayed with him when he arrived in country! Said BURT told him to study his, style, everything that he does! Tom Jones was the 1st singer to fool my sophisticated ears. Thought he was Black, emulating CHUCK KACKSON

Thanks fredasjoy, I love this old stuff by Tom. Reminds me of when I was younger too and oh so smitten, still am. I hope his new CD does well in the States, since he is singing music from our heartlands.
