I did a project on the dam and I didn't support the proposal overall the cons outweigh the pros. It's by far the best location for a dam but it will do too much damage.

The dam is 'Economically the best option' and yes it may have huge evaporation but it also fills up quite fast if you don't know already the dam area is subject to flooding. The sooner the dam is built the better. Stop whining, it is a good option and unfortuantely some comprimises have to be made.

I don't think so I did a project on the Traveston Dam and I looked at the species. They are working on ways to solve those problems and have they started to build yet......no. Why? Because they don't have those solutions yet.

Why don't we learn by experience? Take the Hoover Dam on the (once) "Wild Colorado"... now reduced to a trickle, the Colorado hasnt got enough flow to reach the sea anymore, the sedimentation has built up due to lack of flow.
