THIS IS FAKE. There are softwares out there that can allow you to check how much data can be compressed into it, and its most definitely not 128
Use this software to see what size it really is, the packaging and printing on the drive do not matter... use AlcorMP UFD v6.21" utility and tell us what it says. Or try to store 110 gigs to the drive and see how it behaves.

Nothing new to me. i think all Kingston Datatransfer drives are fake anyway. i bought an 8GB Data Transfer DT101 G2 and when i plug it in for the first time on Windows Vista shows that the capacity for this drive is just 7.34GB.. i reformat it to get rid of urDrive to see if thats whats taking up the rest of the capacity but failed. still shows 7.34GB capacity.

@xMandalorex WAIT! I just talked to someone who bought several of Kingston's 64GB ones (on the cheap) and had the same exact problems as me. He formatted them to NTFS from FAT32, and they've been working perfectly ever since. It's because FAT32 isn't meant to support large drives like this. The bet isn't off just yet ;). Will do some testing now.

those are" Upgrade memory", not Real capacity, the real capacity is about 32gb or less, trust me, I fix Fake Usb from ebay, ..sorry to tell, but I could partition it to the correct capacity...

its a...... P.....O.......S !! I've been done over by those frikkin chinks too. Ebays not doing enough to stop them. My seller was delisted only after they flogged heaps. Tested mine with H2testw (tops!) showed results to PayPal - they say will only refund me IF I PAY to send it back to the frikkin delisted CRIMINAL seller and they WILL ASK HIM nicely if he's got the package back in ORIGINAL CONDITION!!! His address reads like a frikkin eyechart and is probably bullshit anyway. UNJUST!!!!

I dont mean to beat you up or dampen your enthusism however many flash drives & sd cards some on eBay are hacked fakes (thus the extremelly low prices) what happens some seller on a wholesale site like "dhgate" will list a 256mb or 512mb as a 128gb or 256gb or whatever drive (this will be done via a hack reflash that will show a insainlly large capacity & appear to have that much storage room that when your PC will attempt to load data past the limit causes a crash & corruption of disk-watch out

you have to repartition using a special cd cost over $100 and go through a clean installation, and deleted the protected code, using special software.....it is pretty tricky, process, because you have to delete the protected code several time, is not easy but 95% can be repartition it to the correct drive, which is mostly 32GB Max. or less , check out my youtube video on How to fix a Flashdrive.....if you understand what I say then you can fix, but if you don't then check out the video

Sorry to break it to you but i agree with canadasb1 and dontelo52 it is a fake because the real DT200 Has a serial number on the actual usb connector...wondering how i know? I also got a fake from one of the ebay, it will not format and I also contacted Kingston and they sent me the info on what to look for.

@xMandalorex I'd hate to admit it, but you're right. Either I needed to format it to NTFS from its stock FAT32 or something, but after putting some files on it, they were corrupted. I had some important stuff on there too that I was using for backup purposes. Mega fail on my part :(.

@xMandalorex WAIT! I just talked to someone who bought several of Kingston's 64GB ones (on the cheap) and had the same exact problems as me. He formatted them to NTFS from FAT32, and they've been working perfectly ever since. It's because FAT32 isn't meant to support large drives like this. The bet isn't off just yet ;). Will do some testing now.

Anyway, i just got a 16GB usb drive from ebay and from china its here and its real (thank god) ya best bet is to stay with drives at the 8GGB/16GB Range, they tend to be real. plus you wont really need more than 16GB anyway unless its just for movies ?

I have one also i got mine for $20 USD, i just wanted to ask you, what format did this usb come in for you?I can't seem to format my 128 gb flash drive to NTFS file system, it gives some "unable to format error". Please help me, the main reason i bought this was for my Wii to play USB-wise. But it requires the USB to be in NTFS rather than any FAT file system.
