Rosenberg is fantastic, but a one trick pony. Tommy can sit in with rock, blues, country, jazz whatever and hold his own or surpass every one. Rosenberg is not a musician, he is a double picking boring guy that only appeals to an extremely small audience. If you like double picking without a sense of harmony, he is great, but never should be mentioned in the same breath as Emmanuel.

Rosenberg is a monster gypsy guitarist, but it's both disrespectful and just plain ignorant to refer to Tommy Emmanuel as a "muppet." Emmanuel is a giant in the field. Rosenberg and Emmanuel do different things, and both are brilliant.

check out a CD called Chet Lag with Tommy & Jim Nichols. Nichols is the only guy I've ever heard that could match, or even best, Tommy.

There's a couple videos of Tommy playing with Doyle Dykes. Dykes is about the same level as Tommy. I know it sounds hard to believe but I've seen him 3 times and he just blows your mind. Together they seem to be on the brink of ruling the universe

It may be hard for anyone watching this in awe to believe, but actually Tommy is probably enjoying what he's doing more than we're enjoying his incredible playing. It's a guitar player thing, he's just completely at one with his instrument and the music he creates, it just flows from his soul.

I just can't wait till he tours the UK again!

In March, TE was supposed to perform at the Museum my brother works at, but he just got cut due to budget constraints. They did, however, keep Leo Kottke on the ticket.

I think this was a bad move.

Tommy is unbelievable, every time I see him I try to suck evrything I can from this man Anyway this video shows up how he's made to be a one man band , I think he went a little bit out of tune and music while Pat was jamming. Not that Tommy was unable to follow, just that he needs strictly to do his job. Impressions about ?
