He will stop putting skate stoppers on his property, and in order to keep from getting sued, others would take their skate stoppers off too. Also, the property owner might sue the maker of the skate stopper, for selling him an unsafe device, then the inventor will stop sellign skate stoppers, and the problem is solved ;)
