Thank you Pandey Jee thanks for your video in which my daughter can been seen twice Thank you once again and also for the chance to transport oneself to that assembly hall....
i came across this video yesterday, and have already watched/listened to it ten times. it somehow seems like sacrilege to have filmed during the rv assembly, but i am so glad to have got to see this. my son's there now, and each time we've visited him, we've come away with the peaceful assembly music echoing in our ears. thank you. what a lovely way to start a day!
Thank you ! I studied in RV until last year, now leaving after 10th...Mallica happens to be my friend....but really really thanks so much for this...will always be part of nicer days... :)
am confused... How is that students are singing ram/govinda in JK's school? Is it not against his teaching? He said don't get identified with any thing (including religion/history/etc)... What is happening in RV school? Can someone explain?
@vaidyt i passed out of rv last year. i believe this is more about sitting together and singing...more of a community activity than a devotional setting. for those who donot understand hindi its just another song to sing along with! and i don't believ it goes against jk's beliefs as such
@vaidyt they sing a mix of songs in different Indian languages by composers from acrossthe country, from Purandaradasa & Tagore to Nanak and Kabir. This was done in JK's time too-it's more about creating an awareness and connection to the Indian poetic and musical traditions. Atheists and believers alike have enjoyed these assemblies. What Harini says about it being a community activity is also true. Besides, one can learn nothing about Indian music if one avoids any reference to Krishna!
The Sound of RV Morning Assembly has become one of the most beloved sounds of my life. Singing along sends currents throughout my body. In this video too you may notice my voice briefly joinin in with 'Naam Ko Aadhar" . Another friend of mine Mr Mahender is seen in the video singing along "Hey Govind" You seem to be frm RV90 batch. My son Bhaskar was 2009 batch and daughter Mallica is currently doing 9th. She is seen sitting in an Indigo Kurta, with glasses, during 'Shivoham'
Wow! Im in the Uk and im about to link with Rishi valley !!! We are doing a pen pal project and this looks amazing! :)
