I remember having a random encounter in Southern England. It was the first time I was trying out a mine and I used some mine with a wooden case or something, it didn't look powerful. So I put the mine at the entrance to a house and just run through secret back door (aka a window), when a soldier stepped on the mine the mine destroyed THE ENTIRE HOUSE! So much epicness in this game

I love turn based games, they simply own. The PC doesn't have many so you will have to look to the handhelds and consoles for those. I play many TBS using emulators on my laptop.

Seriously. So many options the way you play. I remember on one mission I was having trouble because every time I walked around a corner in a building I'd get interrupted by a flock of dudes with SMGs.

So I took a guy with a heavy MG and just blew the shit out of the place from a distance, which then allowed my scout to see the bastards so my sniper could pick them off from a distance ;).

And THAT'S why this game owns.

Isnt this just Jagged Alliance 2 with an update? Silent Storm was quite fun but it keeps feeling that Jagged Alliance has done it all before, with a better story and mechanics. Is this made by the same people?

the panzerkleins are real pain in the ass in sentinels. The mission where you are on desert was freaking hard. 1st im like: "they`re gonna ambush me down there or something" Then they came in 1 single group, and... Lets just say i got raped.

I love Silent Storm until the fucking robots came, which for me, hated it after. However, beginning to middle of the game before that mission was great, German MP44 on my main unit kicked ass, only needed him to kill everyone.

I really liked this game, untill i started one of the bigger missions, after moving my men about a bit, it got very frustrating having to wait about 5 mins for the enemy to take their turn

Every time i start new game in SS, i choose scout as my class. There is just something in backstabbing your opponents, wiping them out from the shadows. Good video, maybe i'll just start another scout because of this. =)

when i had a scout, i shot a rocketman to near death, but i didn't kill him, i was about 20 feet away unstealthed, and standing there. He didn't shoot me, i almost shat a brick

Good video , but you should be aware of a trick I've

picked up when using automatic weapons. If your

guy has too few APs to fire a Short Burst , try switching to Long Burst. That way , it is possible

that he will have the APs to fire one or two shots. That has saved my arse for more times

than can be counted!

Yes you have nice weapons there - really a good game to get to know some of the guns of the early 20th century. But its not really a fast game, this is the problem. But i love the C96!

beat the whole game using a single character on hard level. finding documents was always the hardest part

now SSS was a bit more challenging

Nice I just installed this game, but I have some shitty graphical glitch where there is like a great square over the screen flickering. I can still see what's going on but everything is darker than it should be, and the square covers the whole screen, whether I zoom in or out...it also vanishes randomly and it gets really fucking annoying. Was wondering if this was a known issue or anything...I'm running 1.2...guess I'll deal with it.

The ones I know are:

Silent Storm, Silent Storm: Sentials, Fallout 1,2,3,Tactics, Hammer And Sickle, Though I have to say the best of them all is silent storm and ive never played sentials, hammer and sickle is EXACTLY the same as this game except in a different Era, the best of the fallouts in my opinion is tactics, but I think fallout 3 may be the best when it comes in october.

yeah the only downer for the game was the armor suit...I don't know why games always go all the way to sci-fi. Jagged Alliance 2 was IMHO ruined by the Rocket Rifles in the end...but the Urban Chaos Mod "fixed" that and eliminated all the sci-fi elements, the game became more fun to finish. Or maybe it's just me.

nice. i soloed the game on impossible with an axis scout. the Katana is a nice weapon, but i didn't have much taste for it ( the shurikins however, were a very nice grab from that mission). I found Big Joe (a grenade launching pistol) pretty early in the game though, which made things a lot easier for me.

I found a Katana! Early in the game too! For Allied campaign, there is a random encounter right beside Old English Manor, where Newhouse operates from. It's an ambush along a road with lots of Japanese with shurikens hiding on the sides, their commander, at the end of the road, has a katana. 33-60 dmg. Very rare random encounter though, been playing SS for years and this is the first time I see it

I love this game, only problem I have with it is how everyobody has the same stats in the beginning and it's almost impossible to train up your medic and engineer, so you have to get new ones when they improve in the roster
