@MrMotorsportsFanatic He was 2.3s slower than Lewis 3.3s behind Badoer. But thats not whole truth.. Mika only used one tyre set and was just enjoying of driving Formula 1 again. At the end of the day he said that he could easily drive over second faster with new tyres and less fuel. But dont know why did not they try it.. Anyway it wasnt so serious test afterall. just having fun there.
Mika felt he had nothing more to prove and knew that without a top car (remember this was a time when Ferrari dominated and McLaren had trouble coming close to them) he saw little point in risking his health and good name by signing for McLaren.
Michael Schumacher signed for Mercedes with the hopes they had a top car...
Mika could have made a comeback in 2003, and in 2004 with BAR, but wisely he declined.
@fazdyana Mika was not the fastest. Even Luca Badoer was faster than him after 3 days of testing. I cant believe 17 people gave thumbs up to your lie!!! But anyways i still like Mika.

In Spain, Kimi's victory was celebrated because it means that Hamilton were punished by his no fair play. I'm sure Hamilton will be champion, but now it's too early.
What did Hamilton do in Spain? Afraid I don't remember that 'incident'. Though I'm surprised if it can compare with some of the stuff Alonso did since I don't even remember it, like when he spoiled the qualifying for Hamilton in Hungary. Not only did it cost his team mate but himself and the team.

In Hungary, Hamilton was helped (supported) by FIA. FIA invented a rule againts Alonso. If it had't hapenned, Alonso would (probably) have win the Championship.
FIA did nothing wrong. Alonso sabotaged for Lewis and the fact that they are team mates has nothing to do with it, they still need to fight fair. Alonso didn't and anybody with at least one eye and some knowledge about the rules could see that.
I don't think they could get any better input from him than from their race drivers so probably just for fun. Mika was still a part of the team in that sense that he drove for a Mercedes team in DTM.
i'm a shumacher fan ,but saying "mika is a shit" is a deep mystake.
Mika was the best opponent for schumi, he was better than Alonso, Better than Hill, much better than Villeneuve.
during Qualifications hakkinen was better than schumi.
I have the same point of view with Brundle "if i have to bet, mika will make the pole position but michael will win the race" (if they got the same car"
I hav to say i quite enjoyed this video, it was the kind of footage that seemed secret, no commentry so you could really hear the engines...good driving by Mika and Fisi in the Renault.
Hello Orikaiser: Schumacher, Raikkonen etc. are definitely excellent drivers, but to use such bad language for Mika, or for anyone else, does not look good on a public forum. Maybe you dislike Mika, but as a human being, and as a driver who won world championships beating Schumacher, he deserves at least some respect, don't you think? Thanks.
They tested to see what changed from his era to the current one. I think the laptimes show he is a couple off the pace, which aint bad after 5 years out.
Giuseppe Farina was champion in 1950 aged 43. Jack Brabham was champion in 1966 aged 40, and he nearly took the 1970 title as well aged 44. Graham Hill was almost 40 when he was champion in 1968.
In a good car he'd still win races. People,Nigel Mansell was champion in 1992 aged 40, and Mansell won his last race in 1994 aged 42. Fangio won his 5'th title aged 47.
at 1:10 the ferrari test driver luca badoer so it aint a publicity act he was a champ at mclaren so i imagine he is allowed to test and drive a mclaren
get off it. He's not coming back, he is 40 next year, but he was a great driver, still is in DTM. Calling the guy lad........haha, whats with that, get over yourself, chill buddy
He made his debut in 1990! Thats the fastest 16 year old in the history of F1. Haha. He didnt come back in '03 so why 5-6 years later? Schumi might be a different story. Still dont think he'll come back though.
Well,Nigel Mansell was 40 when he was champion in 1992 and he even took all the records that season.14 poles in a season still stands. Nigel Mansell won his last race in Adelaide 1994,aged 42. Fangio won his 5'th title aged 47.
A good point, but Mansell's technologically advanced Williams Renault was near unbeatable. Senna's 1992 V12 McLaren was a terrible car and although Schuey's Benetton was on the rise, there was virtually nobody to stop him.
