Well ... if you didnt find the key .. Its in the Painting , in the same room as you rotated the boxes .. :D I hope this was helpful :)

Nothing that wasn't easily fixed. Game just wouldn't start no matter what I tried. If I'd had 2 brain cells to rub together I probably could have moved my saves to another location before reinstalling so I could have just started right back up.

You called it with "Eternal Darkness". Weird visions, a sanity meter, slight love-craftian feel, and trippy insanity effects. I first played it at a friend's house; a fried who was too scared to play it herself. By the second level, all I had was a blow gun and no sanity, so I know the effects well. This game is very good on atmosphere, especially the sound. I would be jumping so much more than you.

You are a much braver man than I. I slowly cracked open shambles room there, and when I heard him growl I was slamming it and running for the hills. I think I spent 10 minutes cowering in a corner :( He started banging on the door while I was holding it shut too!

He got me good on the exit too :( besides the trail I left behind me I ended up using all three of the health restores I had hoarded. The kicker - I barely lit a candle in that room. If I had just crept past rather than scampered...
