  • How about letting people choose what they do with their own bodies..Buyer beware...just another example of Socialistic social engeneering..."We have to punish the people that we don't like what they are doing" Propaganda a disgrace that anyone was sued and that the legal system was used in such a horrible way to manipulate and control peoples behaviors..what next? Are they going to make everything bad for you litigatable. IT is the smokers responsibility to know what they are doing to themselves

  • @doobersmanster Get your mouth out of the toilet. Nicotine is addictive and the tobacco companies tried to hide this information from the public. That's what this film was all about. And when J.Wigand tried to talk to 60 minutes about it, they gave his family a death threat. People like you should go back to elementary school and learn how to read and write. You're dumb. At 1:48 L.Bergman states that the damage to Wigand's life is done...What got broken here doesn't go back together again.

  • @TheLecheMilk Personal responsibility...is anyone that stupid to think smoking is not addictive after you have smoked? It is obvious...you will be happy in your Brave New World..The government was never supposed to intervene this way..it is a Personal responsibility issue. Buyer Beware..only eat and use things you know are safe..people like you want Mommy Government to protect you from everything..pathetic.we are going to lose all of our freedoms becasue of people like you.

  • @doobersmanster What does this movie have to do with the Government? It's about a decent person J.Wigand who wanted to talk to 60 Minutes, which is his legal right, and the Tobacco company threatened his family. They left a bullet in his mail box. So someone should have been charged. I agree the Government should not get involved in this issue. But what about freedom of speech? J.Wigand is entitled to go on 60 Minutes and give his opinion. And people need to know more about nicotine.

  • @TheLecheMilk I agree. The movie has a definate bent towards demonizing companies and totally misses the underlying issue of personel responsibility. I am all for free speech, but this movie is progressive propaganda.

  • It blows my mind how this movie never won Best Adapted Screenplay. The dialogue was IMHO the inspiration for The Social Network, where just like TSN, The dialogue is crisp, deep, meaningful, very intelligent and sharper than a knife.

Blow me Academy for fucking up ONCE AGAIN!!!

  • what an over dramatized movie! my gosh

  • The links work people!

  • theres no links for part 10 and 15,,,,gone not there

  • the link to 15 worked on mine, what's confusing is it's a lot of ads that pop that can lead you astray from the actual video square where if you can get there it says something like "click to close and watch the movie", click and close to watch that part

  • i remember watching this in the theater and i was blown away. i was 12 at the time and all i could think about was the way al pacino got out of the building. and then i said "that man sure does have style". since i saw this movie i sure knew in some way my prupose in life: to investigate. i'm 22 now and i'm just on my final year in history in the university.

  • fantastic movie!!! TY,..

  • Lowell nailed it: what was broke at CBS will never be repaired. Add to that the lies and trickery with Dan Rather, the protecting of rabid leftists within, and the willingness to 'direct' the flow of information where it suits them has ensured their decay. I hope so.

Was hoping Dr. Wigand and his wife would work it out, but I guess not. Thank you for hosting!

  • this movie reali makes u thnk. are there any more jeffrey wigands in our society? are they too threatened to not tell the truth?

  • @o0Lilypinny0o Probably like he said that kind of damage to ones reputation is nearly

    impossible to repair.

  • Love how Bergman fucked Wallace in the end. Russell Crowe pulls off a performance that is right up there with Brando in Godfather in terms of sheer acting. Wonderful story of an ordinary man in an extraordinary situation. Really pulls u in. Kudos and thanks Scottvska.

  • An awesome movie! I think any person can learn something from this movie. Pity I couldn't watch part 10 &15. I tried everything. The links open, but they just won't load. I really think that's a crap video sharing site.

  • @Leopardshows Try opening the links in different browsers.

  • @Leopardshows It wouldn't load for me either on that site. Did you try downloading the video and watching it on your computer? That worked for me.

  • @Leopardshows U can watch those parts, go below and follow the link to zSHARE, delete the advert covering the screen and watch it. Easy. Cheers.

  • Great movie...i really enjoy watching it....thank you so much for uploading it...although some parts were missing but it's all good...thanks a lot....

  • @zexzy Which parts?

  • @scottvska part 10 and 15.....i know there's another link to that part but i can't get through it...

  • @zexzy I checked the links and they work. Try them again.

  • @scottvska yeah it does work...maybe my connection was problem...thank you soo much...

  • Im searching for the song that plays in CREDITS...it starts at 4:18(whoever has the movie on his pc can hear the whole of it) PLZ help me find it...

  • ???Part10and15 why???

  • Im in New York baby!

    im a new yorker.

let me play w my jacket a little bit.

    Im Al Pacino baby. ;)

    :|

  • look at 60 minutest then and look at them now! the biggest news they have to report now are on Lady GaGa..

  • @Theambasaman The only serious news program on television is Frontline.

  • You won...

  • Is there a name for the soundtrack that plays as Bergman exits the CBS building?

  • @godofgames16 Massive Attack - Safe From Harm

  • @godofgames16 Massive Attack - Safe From Harm

  • @godofgames16 "Save From Harm" Massive Attack

  • @godofgames16 The song is great - but I think part of it is the slow-mo with Pacino pulling his coat up around his ears. Very cool combination!

  • I think it was a dirty trick to make it so we couldn't play Part 15. I followed the link. It wouldn't play. I'd've loved you, but now, not so much.

  • magnificent film and story. MANY THANKS for posting.

This was a pivotal moment in US history, and could have set a precedent for further efforts to give justice to the people. But considering that little has changed since, and that the US is still run by huge corporations, I am severely dissapointed.

Unfortuantely, many people in the US confuse socialism with communism, and the no.1 god is money

  • wow really powerful ending. that silent exchange between those two. "what got broken here, doesn't go back together again" when al pachino leaves the building you kind of get this sense that it was the last time a major news network really went out on a limb for the truth. it's been all smoke and mirrors since. kind of get that sense when the older guy walks back into the studio, its all dark and tv screens and blurry and far away. sweet ending music track, too.

  • Thanks for uploading this for us, scottvska. And thanks especially for setting up parts 10 and 15 elsewhere--although 15 is dead, as I see you acknowledged to monyki7.

A really great movie! Somehow, I had never seen it (but always intended to). You made it easy--thanks again!

  • what i would love to know is if the conversation between bergman and wallace occurred like it did here. they worked worked together for years and bergman terminates their relationship without even a handshake. ballsy stuff.

  • thanks for posting. Nice story but felt it was a bit over-stretched.

  • 2:56 - 3:23

    It is so Hollywood things.

  • Shame it's that horrible mix of Safe From Harm. Otherwise, thanks for sharing this magnificent film.

  • ThanQ very much

  • Thanks Scottvska - you did a splendid job! And the film was first-rate.

  • This movie is the best. It has no exaggeration in it. It is simply pure. It has logic, it has consistency. It is just like the life itself. It is the best real life adapted screenplay ever.

  • i found everything i didnt mean for the out burst haha, i just really wanted to finish it. thanks for the post tho :)

  • Cheers for the post!

  • great movie

  • where the hell is part 15. had the most important and best scene of the movie when his interview is finally aired and russell crowe watches it with his kids?!?! the rest of this shit is pointless without it

  • @cruffrider5 How come you didn't ask where part 10 is? Were you able to find part 10 (hosted offsite), but not part 15?

  • @scottvska part 15 isn't working. I watched it on another channel though. It actually syncs perfectly with yours.

  • @scottvska part 15 isn't working anymore - it's says the user's account associated with the video has been deleted

  • @Wafaloo I just uploaded part 15. Check the link in part 14.

  • Freedom of speach

  • Al Pacino is hot! damn

  • I love these kind of films where the plot starts off suggesting quite a narrow theme, and then the scope just gets bigger and bigger until the scope of the ideas expand way beyond what we started with.

So here the film starts off about how a tobacco industry is really just like any other intimidating drug pusher. But then the story becomes about the battle for the soul of CBS and how the capitalist structure favouring huge corporations, even infects journalistic integrity.

  • This is one of the best movie i have ever watch.... thank you!!!!!

  • THx a lot ! The End with this music

  • One of my fabs! Thank you.

Pacino "going slow-mo" add Massive Attack = "The usual feeling".

    A.

  • Many thanks for the upload. Not sure why other viewers couldn't find the missing parts. Thought it was very clear.

Very good film but for me not as great as everyone makes out.

  • best movie ever !

  • Mann definitely deserved an oscar. Either for Heat, either for The Insider. Ffs.

  • @newmanbeatbox

    Most definitely.

  • Great Movie... a brave film overall...Thanks for uploading it!

  • Scott thank you so much for the great upload, and thank you also for providing links for missing part. Great Job!

  • Just a great movie. Part 15 would have been nice but ......

I noted criticisms posted in earlier parts and felt some people just don't get it. To me the greatness of this movie lies is in its subtleties and understatement. The casting was awesome.

  • go to the more info the link for 15 is there

  • MISSING PARTS CHECK MORE INFO.

thanks for the upload. Great movie!

  • Best movie I've seen in a while. I watched this during my business writing class last year, but felt the need to watch it again.

  • brilliant film scott thanks alot for uploading it.

  • Thank you, but where is part 15?

  • hey scottvska! thanks! great download and it was nice of you to provide links for the two missing vids. you're fierce!

  • One of the best films ever... a monumental performance by Crowe, Plummer and Pacino and an outstanding soundtrack by Lisa Gerrard.

  • :( The best part is missing?

  • too bad the most important, last scene isn't available!

  • The greatest moment, when his daughter looks at him while watching the interview... Love it.

  • is there a part 15?

  • Yeah, the link to it is in part 14.

  • Couldn't find the link to part 15. Thanks for what you did post.

  • Is it really that difficult to find? Check under "more info" in the video description.

  • It's not there!

  • Of course thank you for uploading this movie for us. But why not uploaded on Youtube?

  • The missing parts? Because Youtube will mute them.

  • Really awesome!!!

  • integrity is everything ! ...

  • DAMN GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!
