Oasis critizers often say that Oasis are just a Beatles rip-off, and not very interesting musically. As an Oasis fan I think it is not true, and when I hear cover versions like this, it always occurs to me that Liam's voice is a gift from God and actually, how difficult is to sing a so called "simple" Oasis song. Oasis songs are not simple, only they are performed by one of the best rock singers of the last two decades. One Repulic's performance is a nice try though.

Hahaha BuffChub! wise up, i like one republic a lot. I am a massive Oasis fan though and it is a superbly written song and was written for Liams voice! As like most of Oasis's songs. Which makes covers very difficult, even for the best performers. this was a mistake in my opinion. And as to your comment that oasis would be humbled... One Republic havent been around long enough to be considered great. So all im sayin here before you loose your Chub Buff... good singer, bad cover. face it.

think of it this way...if such a band as Oasis has influenced OneRepublic...imagine the quality of music this up and coming band will be putting out. This is merely a cover...it's not meant to surpass the original. And to all those close-minded fanboy faggots...Noel Gallagher got in a fight with his brother and left Oasis weeks ago ;)

The cover is amazing, but the sound quality is quite low and not syncronized.
Well, I like both bands and I really think Oasis is better. But we have to be sincere, so the truth is: first, Ryan Tedder sings much better than Liam; second, Liam can't sing this song anymore, his voice sucks nowadays. Everybody who is a muscian and have a good perception knows what I'm talking about. It's not even a matter of opinion; it's a fact.

This is an Oasis song, everyone down here in the comment field expecting One Republic to match their expectations compared to the Oasis song, that's not possible.
This is a great cover version in it's own way.
First off, your expecting it to sound like Oasis, whatever you do, Ryan Tedder will never sound like Liam Gallagher, it will never happen.
So don't go all negative because of it compared to the Oasis version, treat it as it's own song.
I prefer the Oasis version, but this one is good

Alright, I'm a massive Oasis fan, and I actually respect these guys for doing this. Proves they actually like Oasis by doing something off Be Here Now and not just doing Wonderwall, which is the only song americans seem to know. And you might complain about the vocals but he did a good job, no one on the planet can match Liam's power.

Oasis critizers often say that Oasis are just a Beatles rip-off, and not very interesting musically. As an Oasis fan I think it is not true, and when I hear cover versions like this, it always occurs to me that Liam's voice is a gift from God and actually, how difficult is to sing a so called "simple" Oasis song. Oasis songs are not simple, only they are performed by one of the best rock singers of the last two decades. One Repulic's performance is a nice try though.
