@noideac Even though I agree PC version was better as it lasts longer (more and bigger maps), I will have to disagree with the "not even close" part as I really enjoyed both versions a lot. PS version's graphics were as good as PC version from what I remember. (Unless we're not talking about evolution pack; which makes the game even much more awesome than it already is).
Still, Quake II is indeed one of the greatest games ever; be it on PS or PC.
@Mecitt unless you were running quake 2 on the lowest settings possible, you are wrong. the graphics on the ps1 version were VERY pixlated and blurry. there was also no sky box (instead just a prerendered sky) also the maps were slightly different and there were less of them. On a brighter not, it did allow you to use a mouse, making aiming very nice for a console. sorry if you got offended when i said "not even close" i just get annoyed when people say console shooters are better.
@noideac Lol, no. No offense taken. I understand what I say but I really don't remember the PS version having THAT bad quality. (Which s why I said 'from what I remember' - It's been like eight years since I've played the PS version). I shall be checking it out on youtube some time.
Other than that, I got to play the PS version before the PC version, which probably is yet another factor I do like the PS version almost as much as the PC version. But yeah, the PC version is still better
