heard the song first time recently as an anecdotal filler for NPR this American Life. Wow. The whole album recreates a time for me when I was a teen and the watergate hearings were on and everything was in flux. But this song is real genius in that it takes teen angst and makes it positive. Bravo!

@SoRisible high school is easy. just remember that everyone IS an asshole, but that assholes ARE still human, somehow. i personally got through by becoming involved in the music program and almost exclusively hanging out with other music kids. it seems like a geeky crowd... and is! which is what makes it so easy to get through the 4 years of nonsense. you aren't constantly surrounded by weak-willed buffoons willing to do essentially anything if it'll make them seem cool.
