@pbstarkiller thanks for getting back to me! and just read the tags, and saw it's a G2. And is the weight for your G2 stock noticeably different from the original stock? heavier or lighter?
@v8einstein yes, it is much heavier, (around 14 lbs total set up now). But is is soo smooth to shoot with the JAE stock on. The overall ergonomics are much better now.
That's my dream set up (minus a suppressor), very nice. To achieve your sub moa accuracy, is the only thing you did the JAE stock? Is your m1a the loaded or standard or match? Do you think you could hit 800 yard shots of 8" groups? Thanks. I really like your set up.
@HellaFlushEvo its a standard and has a few NM internal parts. But it was shooting sub MOA with just the stock before any internal work was done. I don't think its a problem at all to get a 8" group at 800 yards, you just have to dial it in with the right ammo.
I see you don't know how to measure shot groups--if your groups were measuring about 0.75, then the group size is actually about 0.45! That's because groups are measured CENTER TO CENTER of the widest two shots. Thus, you measure the group, then SUBTRACT the diameter of the bullet.
Your rifle is shooting less than 1/2 MOA. Congrats on a very nice (and cool looking) battle rifle!
There comes a time in your shooting life when the POS guns you have purchased in the past just won't do for accuracy. If you ever get to the point that precision shooting is more fun then you have reached that plateau that tack driving rounds is more Zen than just shooting man sized paper targets. Nice rifle setup.
Just what function do those "mag-pulls" do? I noticed that you did not use them. But I figgured that a hi-speed guy with a 3500 dollar gun like that would have a couple of magazines duct taped together for faster "cap bustin'.
is that a basic M1A that you were able to shoot out 1000yrds with? In a few days I'll be placing an order on either a Scout Squad (because I like to hike and hunt, keeping the weight down would be a good idea) or a Super Match M1A. But I'm not sure if the scout is accurate out to 1000yrds/meters, so i may be forced to buy the Super Match version. What are your thoughts before I make my final decision?
@denisaaj its a loaded. Its possible to get it out to 1,000 yrds but it will be harder. You will definately save weight with the scout. If your going for maximum accuracy, id suggest the super match, the glass beading and extra barrel length helps at the longer ranges. But i do think the scout has a good balance in between for portability and range.
I've been thinking about the JAE 700 have you held one and if so would you buy and how far out have you took the m1a it's the best looking I've seen grate gun thanks for making the video
@Don007206 I have, and they are very nice and ergonomic just like their m1a/m14 stocks, but I would also look very hard at the MCMillan and Accuracy International stocks too. But I dont think you can go wrong with anyone of them, it just comes down to personal prefrences and looks. All of them are top notch stocks! Ive taken the M1A out to 1,000yrds and even out shot some of the bolt guys.
@y3k23k depending on how many accessories you have on it it can weigh between 12-16lbs. But I would imagine it would be legal there, but I dont know for sure
@pbstarkiller hey dude, me again, I don't mean to be a stalker type or anything but is disassembly the same as a standard m1a, or are there differences?
@snogs11 I appreciate your interest. The only difference with take down is that you have to loosen 2 screws on each side of the trigger guard to take the stock off. But with reassembly you have to align 2 metal plates on each side of the trigger mechanism with the corresponding groves. It sounds complicated, but its real easy to do. The instructions they come with are helpful.
what is the farthest range that u can get with it

I need to get some magpulls like that. I dislike the M1A naked magazine. The bottom of the mags are sharp and will cut up all sorts of things

I was noticing your groups cover around 3/4's of an inch, but center to center, they are much tighter. Looked like maybe 1/2 inch groups. Well done.
