@Cebuana7 That's basically what swaddling is. Hospitals use regular blankets but the concept is still the same. Special swaddling blankets like this one just make it easier. It really soothes the baby (my daughter would ONLY sleep if swaddled for the first several months of her life) because they're used to being cozy like that in the womb.

this is wrong is some ways. that baby would not feel comfortable in that blue clothing, (just look at his hands) and also he's gonna get sick with his wet hair. at least the mom has to put on some kind of a baby hat that is used for babies after they take a bath.

@rokiroxify wow u dont know anything about babies apparently or atleast 0-3 month old babies his hands being held down like that (being swaddled) held calm him because it imitates being in side of the womb so he is actually more comfortable being in that blue clothing (which is the wombie) because thats how he was for the first 9 months of his life...

no, no, not straight jacket. This tub meant to simulate the curvature of a mother's womb the warm water the amniotic fluids. It relaxes them. It is a long practice that many cultures around the world wrap their infants with some kind a thing blanket or towel to reduce movement. This is believe to have a psychological affect on the infant and reduces restlessness. One more thing: i have seen infants sleep in that tub.
