I play piano by ear as well, and I'd like to encourage you to KEEP GOING! seriously... I've taken piano for about 10 years, and honestly? it hasn't helped me as much as learning by ear has! I STILL can't read sheet music worth crap, but I can play some pretty awesome stuff by ear... well done dude! love the song:)
