Wow! He doesn't vote. I guess everything he says comes from a script somewhere (extreme left) so he really has no opinion of his own. Why would he, he doesn't vote. I thought there was strings above him. I didn't hear why he doesn't but it's no surprise since he never debates anyone, his head would literally explode. Please do the liberals a favor and let someone else represent, the conservatives need better competition.
myliferules, I am an independent more liberal, and I agree...olbermann is REALLY FAKE..LIKE BILL O REILLY...but at least bill o reilly is entertaining...
Was that edited or did they not let Olberman finish a sentence in response to their assertion that he was so horrible. I had a little taste of the rational behind his choice but then the yapping and chirping started.
The only people who can criticize the democratic process are those who don't participate in it. If you throw your vote into the pile, you invest in its result, good or bad. Keith is doing the right thing, philosophically, as a person whose job it is to complain about politics. That does not mean that the rest of us should do this.
I think the only way you can criticize the process, and make it better, is to participate. Otherwise your opinion means NOTHING, just empty words. Back up your words with action!
Any opinion coming from someone who voted, who invested in the political system, will be a necessarily non-objective opinion. You have placed some degree of deference in the system and must accept the result. If you voted, even if you didn't vote for Bush, you voted for Democracy and must accept him as the winner of the process. If you didn't vote, you have an opinion that isn't tainted with "sore loser" or "gloating winner" overtones, regardless of whether they are obvious in your criticism.
I agree with your logic except in the case of Olbermann it doesn't apply. He never tried to be objective about the system. He was very anti-Bush. That is why I said he should back up his words with action. If you don't like something then you should do something about it.
Well... I don't agree that because he bashes Bush a lot means he isn't, or cannot be, objective. It is important that his criticisms are about some actual or perceived wrongdoing by Bush, rather than the sort of empty or downright false complaints that come from Fox. If you back it up with fact and reason, you can be objective. Science is as objective as it gets and we don't trust it if it's not based on facts and sound reasoning.
Just because you dont vote doesnt mean you dont have a favorite. If you vote at least you voice your opinion rightfully. If you dont vote you voice your opinion just the same, just no one knows what that opinion is. Unless you Keith Olbermann who was obviously in the tank for MCcain :)
