  • is that bat legal for that age????

  • @flickitgood07 What do you think is illegal about the bat? I would have to think that he wouldn't be allowed to use it if it was illegal.

  • does anyone else notice when the ball is approaching his hands move farther away from his body? this makes it harder to hit inside pitches

  • markus is BEAST!!!! but i noticed that he rolls his rist and dips but other than that he is great keep it up and u will b in the pros hope fully i will too but dude u r great for ur age!!!keep it up

  • Thank you for your coment. You are correct that he does roll his wrist. We have addressed this issue and He does better now. Again I appreciate your imput and please continue to point out problems as there is always room for improvements. I wish you the best in your quest to be the best also. May you continue to Learn from the Past, Live for the Present and Look forward to the Future. My God continue to bless you and your family. PEACE

  • he is excellent but one thing that could help him is when theres a runner on third he should bunt towards first to get a sac bunt or squeeze but he doesnt have to

  • Thank You for the kind remarks.

He bunted towards 3rd because that what the coach told him to do. I would have let him hit the ball because every ball he had hit so far was hit to the outfield. Anything out there would have gotten at least 2 runners in.

    Thank You for your comment

  • he hit for a cycle

  • no he didnt. he only batted three times in each game so thats not possible

  • Lunadeluna69 is correct, He only got to bat 3 times in each game. So he did not hit for the cycle.

  • nice he's what 11 years old and already great technique on most of the things in baseball... lol pop-up sliding at that age.. its just ridiculous :]

  • Thank You

  • an amazing player, I would only like to say that for base-running he should try and to a cut that is like a question mark, right before he gets to the bag. It allows you to go straight on the paths which will allow you to be atleast a few seconds faster.

  • Thank You for your positive comment. This was last year and he has made some adjustments in his base running. He is so use to sliding that he runs straight at the base. Thank You again

  • is he using a big barrel?

  • This kid is great.I was in the minors.Just wait until the next level. He will hit them ever farther! Is that his Eadton Stealth?I have an Easton Synergy

  • Thank You

    Yes it's a Easton Stealth

  • try em in majors

  • They were the only 10U Majors team N the State. They were moved back 2 10U AAA prior 2 the State Tourn N told if they won the 10U AAA State Tourn, they would B moved back 2 Majors. Rules state that N order 2 play N the World Series, U have 2 play N your State Tourn. They won 10U AAA State Tourn & were moved back 2 10U Majors. They couldn't go 2 10U AAA World Series cause they were moved 2 10U Majors & they couldn't go 2 10U Majors World Series cause there was no 10U Major's State Tourn 2 play N.

  • hollywood's the next junior

  • Very Impressive.. Your kid is great. Keeps his head down on the ball and keeps his hands inside of it and drives through it. He is going to be good. Keep doing what your doing... It works. Lol

  • Thank You

  • im like a year older then him but he is almost as good as me.

  • LOL I bet you're taller and bigger than he is. Look at the height and size of some of his teammates and look at him. He's 4'10" and weighs 85 lbs. No fat! All muscles and technique.

  • im 4'11

  • How much you weigh

  • 90 lbs

  • kewl

  • he would've been called out you can't slide head first unless your going back into a base.

  • This is USSSA dude If he couldn't have done it, don't you think they would have called him out.

  • i'm just saying this looks like mlb rules so he would've been called out but by no means he is a good ballplayer

  • I understand what you're saying but Under USSSA Rules and Super Series Rules, a runner can slide head first @ 10 years old and up.

My point was that if what you are saying is true, he would have been called out but he wasn't.

  • is he using a big barrel bat?

  • Yes A Easton Stealth 30 in 19 oz

  • i was too old for usssa period. I've heard of aaba before and I dissmissed it as a possibility for some reason. Next summer I'm going to try out for the keystone games which is like a statewide tournament of pennsylvania and if your region wins you go to a nationwide tournament. I'll be in 10th grade this school year btw. You are very devoted to these videos and comments.

  • Kewl I wish you good luck in your quest to make the Keystone Games. I am very devoted to the progress of Markus. I reply to many of the comments especially when someone asks a question or make a positive comment. I make sure to thank people who leave positive comments.

  • I know that "Play Maker" Brucey is going to be able to do what ever he want's in life. He is that type of Kid. His parents are doing a great job. Keep It Up!!!

  • Thank You

  • for that league he's in the usssaa or w/e. Do you try out for that or are you just picked. I was going to do it if you could try out, but im too old anyway by like 1 month.

  • Are you saying that you are too old to play 10U or too old to play period. To play on a USSSA team you just have to find one that is in your state and area. Sometimes a coach will see you play and set up a tryout for their team. That what happen to Markus. This is his 2nd year playing on a USSSA team. He also plays on a AABA 11U team which won the USSSA 11A World Series a couple of weeks ago in Granbury Texas. Markus couldn't play with them because he was playing 10U State in Marion Arkansas.

  • Your welcome for the comment. I wasn't really talking about being burnt out of a sport, but thats another point too. I haven't seen it personally, but my father has told me stories of kids maturing early and being so amazing when their young and never get any better. I have trouble figuring that a 10 year-old is any more mature than another though lol!

    GO MARKUS!

  • LOL ok Thank you

  • the only question is...can he keep it up. Not so much in baseball but in wrestling their are tons of kids who are ungodly when their 12 and 13 but then fall to crap when their seniors. I honostly dont think this kid has to worry about that. I think he'll do fine in 6 years or so

  • And a damn good question it is too. I agree with you 100 % that some kids get burnt out on doing something over and over again when they are younger. I hope he can keep it up. So far So good. He says that he wants to play Major League one day. So as long as he is enjoying it continues to practice and having fun I think he will make it someday. Thank you for your comment

  • Wow, I think we have the same problem. We love our son's and we are so proud of thier every move. Not to mention potential meal tickets!!!

  • LOL sounds familiar

  • wow markus every time i watch you videos it amazes me. I cant remember the last time i went 8 for 9 in 3 games. My state tournament is coming up this weekend so we'll see how that goes. But i just wanted to say good job and to keep going

  • Thank You and GOOD LUCK in your tournament this weekend. Stay positive, keep believing in yourself and good things will happen for you. Thank You again for the positive comments

  • 1. Nice job.

    2. Still needs work.

    3. Good eye.

    4. Don't alwyas have to slide.

    5. Keep it up.

  • I agree that he still needs work and he realizes what it takes to be the best. If his coaches tells him to get down or indicate by hands for him to slide, that's what he does. Thank You for your comments and words of advise.

  • At 3:16 he was out aince when he swang his foot touch the chalk and he made contact. That happen to me and I got out and it was right thrue the gap in the outfield. Well i thought i would warn you since I dont want him out later on.

  • I didn't notice that he stepped out of the batter's box. You are correct he would have been out had the umpire noticed it. Thank You for the advance warning and I will make sure he corrects himself. Thank You again.

  • Ill keep my eye open in case if he does anything else wrong. P.S I am jealous lol

  • LOL Thank you and feel free to let me know of anything that he needs to do or could do to improve.

  • Wow he has a good bat. I love watching these videos. But 8 for 9!! I can never do that lol.

  • I took pictures in 1 game, just watched 1 game and taped the other 3 in this tournament. In the other 2 games, he went 5 for 9 with 1 strikeout, 1 to the first baseman (run scored), 1 to center fielder (run scored) and 1 back at the pitcher that stuck in his glove. Thank You for the comment.

  • I hate it when that happens and i wish him the best of luck. Hopes he never gets hurt. And i will post videos in a month or 2 and i will show you my team. He has the heart and life for the game. And i will like to thank you for helping him thrue it. With out you his life would be boring. You made his life so much better and keep driving him every where. I know he loves you so much for all the suff you do for him.

  • Yes we have a very special relationship. I will be looking for those videos of your team in the near future. Thank you again and Please feel free to pass on any other advise that you may have to help him become a better player. Thank you again

  • That is very nice and it looks like hes got it down. His swing is awesome. From the other videos he fields and knows what he is doing. Just keep practicing with him and he wont lose his special touch.

  • ok I will do my best and again Thank You for your support and words of encourgement.
