I have a Sony Vegas 8 question. I wonder if you might know.
In Vegas 8, I make a video. Then I hit "M" to mark the beginning and the end of my video. I then turn on the loop region and render my video. No problem. Then I save, then close Vegas 8. The next time I open my same Vegas 8 project, The loop region is no longer where I left it. It defaults to the beginning and the loop has been turned off. Any idea how to make this loop stay exactly how I left it after I close?
when i go to render my video it render's it but when it gets to 50% the video is coplete it loops again which i don't want. can you tell me how i can stop this. i am not using the loop tool.
Not sure waht you are after but you can copy the section of video you want to loop and then paste it over and over as many times as you like. after you render, the section will loop as many times as youpasted the copy of your clip. hope this helps.
A lot of times the Loop comes up on me by mistake and i never know how to remove it.. so when i upload video to youtube it does just the looped area.. because i didnt do it manualy. at that point i know how to upload it.. but it is slower..
grab the yellow tip of the loop indicator farthest to your right and drag it all the way to the left as far as it will go to the beginning. that removes the loop region from your project.
I don't think it does. It just sets it to zero length and places it at the beginning. It does not really remove the loop region. (As you can see, since the yellow triangle is still there.)
Agree that setting it to zero achieves the same thing (and it was a good tip that I am grateful for!). But it means you have to shuffle along the timeline which is a bit cumbersome. It would have been so much easier to just, say, right-click and choose 'remove loop region' (but there is apparently no way to do that).
i have that loop region thing and now when i try to drag a part of the vid or anything it just highlights that part with the loop region being on top of the highlighted area how do i remove that
Thanks for the reply, I am a rank amateur at this stuff but I plan on jumping in head first! I have no hardware nor software as yet. But will soon. I love your style and concise fix for the problem. I read it on bmyers forum originally. I am debating on either the whole set of the bmyers vids or the one on editing. Just have to make up my mind.
how do you delete the loop region marker???

So, how does one actually remove a loop region?
bkwine 2 years ago
to my knowledge there is no reason to remove it as long as it is set to zero. I dont think you can loop a zero setting.

You could just save the video and start it back up. The loop thing goes away when you start it back up.
