  • That's essentially correct. The Solar Aquatics (SAS) is essentially an indoor marsh system engineered to handle a higher volume of waste than a natural wetland could.

    The first SAS was build to handle septage which is, of course, much stronger than sewage. But, yes, many are build to handle sewage straight from a city's collection system. Note that NO primary settling is done in a SAS.

  • many of the plants that they used use to grow freely in the creeks in my town... they put concreate in and then a few years later what do you know... solar aquatics came to be... of course i cant prove it but solar aquatics is still a good idea... they even use a UV light at the end of the process... some systems even take and break down black water for use
