I took my gold bug se to the river yesterday, and was so mad.. I put my head phones in my computer to listen to your detector, and I missed so many little singles that i picked up off your detector.... Just saying i was listing to your beeps compared to my beeps on the head phones, and I am so new to detecting.. Its kinda funny.. Not only that if I could detect peices that small I would be digging all day..

Is your detector an original Gold Bug, or the new Gold Bug 2? I use the 3" coil exclusively. Less tiring for searching the hillsides, and gets down in the tight areas of bedrock after we have prepared our dig. One tip I can give you is to use a board, 4' x 4' plywood, to spread your material on. If you rake out larger rock, or screen your material onto the board, you get rid of a lot of the hot rocks, and other things that can affect your detector, and you'll pick up some really small gold.

My new gold bug se dose that when I run my had across the coil. I thought the detector had a malfunction. Reading your statement makes sence to me..

I ran a gold bug2 and on it's most sensative it would give me a signal when I ran my hand across it. Maybe I have high iron in my blood?  Enjoy your videos.

That is minerals in your system! Work with your detector over a board, with the smallest piece of gold you can detect. When you are completely confident you are picking up the smallest gold possible, you won't miss anything larger!! Overcome the "Squiriliness" of your detector over various ground, and the Gold Bug 2 will find gold that will amaze you.
