the movie is called 'muqaddar ka sikander' - starring amitabh bhachan. the dvds usually have subtitles. this movie is one of my favourites. i used to hate it as a child cos i never understood the movie. now that iam grown up, its a hot favourite with me.

the magic about this particular song is, it was the coolest hippiest song at the time when it came out. everyone but everyone was hooked on it. now even after 30 odd years it still is still the coolest song around. an evergreen song. classic
