  • Great voice and a Gentleman

  • Elvis wrote nothing. He just flirted. His band played the music. Get over it.

  • The KING unmatched by any one Forever

  • MmMmM! So beautiful i love this i never seen before!

    beautiful 10 stars

  • Elvis is the greatest legend that ever lived.

  • Well, i guess nothing but good about the dead, huh? Well, i take another view on that, regardless if it is about Elvis or not. Seems to me that a lot of Elvis fans can't take any critisism at all when it comes to their idol. I consider myself an Elvis fan, but love to discuss this great artist. Nothing wrong with that attitude.

  • Because i am an admirer of him doesn't mean i can't be critical. I am not judging the man, that 's something else. Elvis made great music and was a superb live performer

but also made a lot of music of lesser quality in my opinion. But i won't judge him for that. He was only human, not a God. But Lets agree to disagree.

  • @prossiebecker Off course he was human, but that's why you should understand and leave him alone. This man is a part of history. Just respect that! Are you perfect? No! So better than judge him is to enjoy Elvis and listen in peace. Have a great day!

  • @pokerface424242 If you are reading my posts carefully you should see that i am not judging the guy and that i am leaving him alone in that respect. I myself want honesty and respect from my friends, not to be worshipped. Honesty also means that i want them tot tell me if they are bothered with something I say or do. I want my friends to be critical towards me as long it is in a respectful manner. But right now i am listening to 'From Elvis in Memphis'. Great!

  • @prossiebecker To be critical with friends sometimes is good. They can learn something, but it's not the case here. Elvis left us, so in my opinion what are you trying with these messages it's a wrong attitude..

  • To me it seems just the opposite. All his moves where carefully praktised in THE 1970's. Almost nothing spontanious happened anymore. He lost the energy from 1972 on and he performed on a routine basis. In his last years he kept on performing because he needed the money. In 1977 he had become a parody of himself.

  • @prossiebecker

Wrong. This performance is very different from the Aloha version. Sure enough there still was no routine.

  • @patriciaobrian To me its a better performance than the Aloha one but basically the same though. In august '74 he tried to change his show in Vegas on opening night but it wasn't well received by the audience. So the next night he changed it back. I wish he had retired from his career after the Aloha special. After that things went downhill fast. But it always strikes me how a lot of Evis fans keep saying how great he was and looked until the end despite often ambarrasingly bad live performan

  • @prossiebecker I think you don't have the power to understand what Elvis mean! That's ok, I don't try to convince you to believe that but he was more than a singer! Perhaps in 1000 years from now nobody will give a damn for rock n roll but they will remember Elvis. He was truly unique. Take care and have a nice day! I'm done!

  • @prossiebecker You're far from the truth. Elvis could only record albums if he needed money. Elvis continued to play live because he loved the concerts most.

  • @pokerface424242 I agree that performing live was his favourite part of the business. But since 1973 his didn' get much income from his record sales because he sold the rights of his records that year so he only got income from his new records. His new records were not the big sellers from lets say 1974 on. He earned about 700.000 dollars a year for that and that was not enough! He main income came from the concerts. He was spending more money than was coming in in the '70.

  • @prossiebecker Then why at the time of his death were still $ 6 million?? I know for Elvis this amount wasn't enough, but still was considerable in 1977 to pay employees. If he wanted to make money fast the best way would be to record new albums or new movies. In concerts Elvis doesn't earn enough money to pay bills. He focused on live appearances more than any other way. It wasn't for money anymore. That was pretty tiring but he didn't stop until the end! Elvis was a given person, a true king!

  • @pokerface424242 Making movies wasn't a real option anymore in the second half of the '70's.

He was out of shape and wasn't getting any offers. He only got an offer to play in the movie 'a star is born' , but it didn't work out. Like i said, he was only making some 700.000 dollars a year from his records. He made some 4 million a year from concerts. Those are cold facts. Just read Peter Guralnick's biography for example.

  • @prossiebecker Ok, trust in Peter Guralnick if you want! I'm an Elvis fan since I was 6 years old. Can I have the right to know something about his personality? He hasn't kept the money in his life. Elvis has always spent money & helped people. He could easily raise a big fortune if he wanted it. Elvis made more money that any artist of his time. To create a picture of him based on money it's just a mistake. Don't tell me that Elvis was rejected from TV after Aloha (Everest) until CBS Special :)

  • @pokerface424242 I wasn't talking about TV or his personality. To put him on TV in 1977 was a huge mistake. He was in a terrible state and a far cry from the great artist he ones was. Elvis was a great unique artist and no other artist can touch me with his music like he does. But he often did not take charge of his career and as a result made terrible movies and soundtracks year after year in the '60's and made only a few good albums in the '70's.

  • @prossiebecker If you are an Elvis fan too then ask yourself even with these "mistakes" like you said why do you still love him? :) Let me tell you something: "Don't criticize what you don't understand, son. You never walked in that man's shoes." :)

  • @prossiebecker

It's totally okay with me, if you feel that way. For me Elvis gave awesome performances especially in 1974 and 1975. Just listen to the Summer tour in 1975 - just GREAT.

  • FANTASTIC FOOTAGE********

  • In fact if you notice Elvis controls his sensual movements that drove the audience wild since he felt the crowd was uncontrollable when he actually did . Elvis stopped really moving or shakin all that much after his live shows at Vegas. His body moves which were as natural as breathing was most controlled in the last few years and instead preferred doing a few martial art moves since he was so into it.. Elvis was a natural when it moving while he performed. Wonderful share thanks Galoport

  • @knowingElvis this seems likely; although I can't help wondering if this is just an observation/guess from your part or if you've found any proof of this change of performance and it's background?

  • @SAA1337 I can't understand what you mean but if I'm not mistaken are you asking if what I said in my comment is from observation of Elvis, or mere guess work?? is that what you mean?? If so, I would say yes to both! If you watch some of his videos you will also see that it's true and at times, he stops from actually giving in to his natural moves... Elvis just couldn't stand still and most times would be unaware of his movements too!

  • He surely knew how to move himself on stage.

Absoutely great to watch and listen.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Oh boy, what did you do to yourself :/

  • Good Vid

  • great stuff many thanks for posting.

  • É... Ele sabia levar a platéia a loucura.

  • Great!

  • Great clip. Sound is a bit slow though.

  • Sounds is right. The version you hear on the Aloha concert was sped up when it was released as a single. Record company bullshit I guess.

  • That is great! Thanks. I had only seen the aloha version. ~Presley

  • Oh My God... He is moving perfect... I loved it.... AAAAAA I LOVE ELV11111SSSS !!!
