@xBraaDy With a voice like his that was realy enough, luckily he didn't do that type of "song" from the '70s where they literaly just did talk, there was always at least a bit of singing there, often more. Whether he spoke or sang people certainly listened!
Agreed. He has not much to offer musically, meaning he doesn't have any awesome and original technique and neither does he have that much of an extraordinary voice. But he has something. That "something" that makes him awesome. Not style, not the lyrics, don't know what. Just "something".
I could listen to his passion all day long. This has always been one of my all time favorites of his music. I am proud to say that my son and daughter both love Folsom Prison Blues and Ring of Fire.
Johnny Cash is talking straight to god when he writes his songs and he walks in his light andd i do beleive that he will leave more of an imprint on peoples lives then any artist in today's music.
Johnny Cash is immortal. He had his beliefs and causes and never wavered. Wish I had seen him in concert. Had a chance to see the Highwaymen in Melbourne, but "Something else came up". Regretting that now. 2 of them have gone- only Willy & Kris left.
johnny cash was my pops favorite singer and his favorite song was man in black i was way to young when he passed away and today is my pops birthday happy birthday pop i miss r.i.p i love you
This man pretty much summed up what I couldn't bear tell people that ask me why I where black. I've worn black for as long as I can remember. It has always been my color. Whenever someone asked me, I would just say that it feels right.whenever I'm not wearing black I feel as if I was sinning or lying in some way,or that I was hiding the truth.I wish I could have met this man to thank him for putting these thoughts out there.A friend of mine thought I got it from him.That's how I found this song.
@BeetleBUMxX He is one of few that understand gods love for people. More people need to think the way he does. It's kind of hard to for some people because their too distracted by their own world. Trying to pay of bills. Raise a family, be the expert at your job. Then there's those who are distracted by their wealth, and blind themeselves, to the world. Those who party, get wasted, or get high. These are distractions from God. If only more people seeked his love, than the world would be brighter
@roberta2010ification I think we can be friends. People tend to be scared of the sight of me, because I'm always wearing black, and I've always got a blank expression. If only they knew that God has shown me the way he loves us all, and why he loves us all, than they would understand why. The truth is love hurts. Everytime I turn on the news, death, rape, mutalation. It will not end until we ascend into heaven. That's the day I'll wear white.
Everytime someone ask me why I wear a lot of black ('cause im a "goth" to them supposedly) I always point them to this song and they understand, it takes a REAL musician to do that.
This man is a musical legend and I just wish that he could have stayed with us for a little while longer so that he may basck in his glory and we may enjoy his music for a longer period of time, WE LOVE YOU Johnny Cash, to death ;_;
a message to humanity , only JC can sing something like this !-a wake up call for small large and tall !-***** long live his message to us all ! :) Gus
He barely raised his voice. He barely sang. He showed little facial expression. This is one of his best performances. God bless you Johnny Cash. Someone who gave a damn about people other than himself. How alone you were and are.
Johnny Cash is true music. He didn't have any beats or even that great of a voice, but people listen to him because of the stories he tells. I think that everyone can agree that almost all music like this has died and replaced with horrible computer generated beats. This video should be the most viewed on youtube. For the 8 people that disliked, I hope your name is Sue.
God I love Johnny Cash - Rest in peace - I'm only sad I didn't know about him when I was younger - at 25 I feel like I should've been acquainted with Johnny at 15! Why can't more people be like him? I look up to you Johnny and fuck anybody who doesn't like or get you!
One of the last mainstream musicians who was REAL. He had integrity, he had morals, and he played GOOD music right from the heart. What's happened to our society?
Johnny Cash did have morals, but he wasn't exactly a 'perfect' person. He was a major druggie. He got over it and went clean but he did have a really bad point in his life where he was majorly addicted. He still a beast though :)
Johnny Cash was not all about morals. He had several songs about Murder, Fighting, Drugs, and being in prison. And those were some of his most popular songs. not much has changed really... people remember the past selectively. some only remember the good some only remember the bad

It was September 12, 2003, when we lost the Man In Black. He went on to Heaven to be with his beloved June, and now they are together for all enterity. Johnny was in a class all by himself, and there will never be another one like him. Rest in peace Johnny.
