Beethoven wrote "Adagio sostenuto". This is Largo. And the triplets are as loud as the melody. Moreover Beethoven didn't write rallentando at the end of almost every triplet.

I will try later to respond in Italian, but if you can understand English -- the noise you heard was caused by an American child dropping some coins. (Her mother had very little control!) It is to Masi's great credit and skill that he did not let the interruption spoil his performance. I am glad that you enjoyed my video. I hope Pier Narciso will approve of me airing his performance. I was going to ask his permission, but I could not find an email address for him. We love Italy and your gelato!
