We now got two types of Mini's. The classic ones and the new ones. Though the cars looks a bit like eachother, there's nothing else but the name in common. They are two completely different cars IMO. I have been driving Minis for 25 years now and never had another car. It's a cheap and fun car. I can't afford a new Mini, so sorry I'm not thrilled over a new car coming and calls itself a Mini and try to steal the show... so scenes like the above are welcome to me. Hope the driver was okay though!
The mini appears to roll well. But I would not like to be strapped inside whilst it's doin it. Goota give engineers credit though for making something so small reasonably durable.
The reason why the BMW mini is a "great car" is because it's made by germans, the country that knows how to press all the buttons AND make all the rules so tbh you should think bout that..
Do any of you guys own any kind of MINI? Because I do own one of the new MINI's. They're great cars...best built car I've ever driven. I've had it two years...the thing is solid. The new MINIs are real Minis the same way a new Mustang is a real Mustang even though it isn't exactly like a 1964 Mustang. Progress my friends. :) I love classic Minis and I'll probably own one some day. Classic fans should be thankful, since al these little cars are now getting some well deserved attention.
@TruthSeeker1979 Wrong mate. The classic Mini rightfully earned its fame, still has and always will have it. The New Mini try to steal the show from the, so classic Minis they now get less attention. Have you thinked about that could be the reason some doesn't like the new one. In Denmark new Mini costs 20 times as much as the most expensive classic Mini we ever bought (secondhandly rightfully said). That alone keeps it from being a 'real' Mini IMO.
i dont see any minis?

By the way I have 3 minis at home a 1964 original, a 1974 1275GT, and a 1979 mini 1000
GetBentley 3 years ago
These arent REAL minis their owned by BMW now. Theyre much less nimble and have way less character they'll never beat the 1275GTs of yesteryear

look how safe that thing was . the drivers compartment is still the same shape.
and they are real minis you drongo , they where partly designed by the original mini designer
pvtdangles 3 years ago
BUAHAHAHA
1 - it's safe 'cause it has got a rollcage (any road car would be smashed after a crash like that)
2 - they're not real Minis, they're BMW Minis
3 - Alec Issigosis died in 1988, so I don't think he's "partly designed" those craps called new Minis
madmamo 3 years ago
lol his door flew off
freddylovescars 3 years ago
They're not real mini's, just BMW using the classic cars name ;-) The only thing those BMW's deserve is being smashed into a wall.
