As much as I'd like Greenlee & Ryan back I think I get David's reason for keeping her from knowing the truth...like if he told Greenlee that she was in the accident and nearly died and Ryan thinks she's dead, that could send Greenlee back into a coma and then really die unless David's not really dying and is planing something that involves Greenlee somehow
