@TheShopvac20 Good luyck dude. Cophony uses his own made up tunings and such. So its basically impossible to figure what tuning he's in by ear, which would make tabs impossible as well :/
@TheShopvac20 This song itself is in DADGAD I believe. But what Im saying is he uses a shit ton of tunings hes made up for his songs. So tabbing them out is very hard.
Nah I wouldn't say that in the least bit. T-cophony is very melodic. But justin king is very versatile. A. Can sing, never heard t-cophony. B. Justin plays celtic, jig, country, tap, rock, pacific, flamenco. list goes on T-cophony is just J-pop on acoustic solo.
the fact of singing apparently t-cophony has a voice suited to singing. regarding the different kind that is capable of playing Justin King did not know but in this case I could not answer that Justin King plays guitar while eletricca t-cophony is not in the normal manner but exceptional :)
No I didnt say he is j-pop. But he uses the same diatonic chord progressions and melodies on top of those chords that j-pop uses. If you played his song to someone who didn't he know who is was. Most of his songs they would say it sound like credits from an anime. Most of them do because of the midi drums and guitar on top of it. the solo acoustic.
Well I do agree with you on a lot of this..I actually have heard I-XII (well most of it.) I liked that CD. I actually started listening to Justin King first, and thats how I picked up the tapping style..But when I got into listening to more T-cophony I noticed that he has a very very great skill of being able to express different emotions in his songs with different tunings and a mix of tapping/fingerstyle.
I dunno, afterall it is just an opinion. But I think Justin King's vocal stuff/project with his band is soooo boring. I watched them live and wasn't too impressed. I think his tapping stuff is the most interesting thing he really does, because I think he's good at it.
No,I agree with you there. Justin king and the heartbreakers i think ? is not that great. He has two songs on his Le Bleu album "Something about angels" and "ashes" its a ton better. Justin is better by himself.
@Brandon75689 indeed, people check the vids i have uploaded of Justin. If you buy his Le Bleu album, you'll see his versatility..it is unreal. Although I believe T-cophony has learnt from him and enhanced and thus surpassed Justin on the tapping abilities! But who knows.
then boys with all due respect to Justin King in some of his music did not understand much since going too fast with the tapping in this way do not understand much and can not appreciate the suonodelle notes while .. t-cophony feel each also known by its tapping into pieces as fast as road cycling .. regarding the question that many music by giving you rightfully t.copohny are equal only in the first album .. In this new album t-cophony you notice a huge improvement and the songs are all
I agree. justin's got nothing on this guy. Justin King doesn't even really like to call himself a "tap guitarist." He uses one tuning "D A D G A D." And a lot of his tapping songs sound way too similar to the others because he uses the same tuning with usually the same basic rhythm as well. T-cophony is much more dynamic, and he uses multiple tunings for multiple songs, all of his songs have so much more feeling to them than any of Justin's!
Totally disagree with you to death. I know a shit load of T-cophony songs that sound the same and I can choose the stuff out that t-cophony uses in every song. like the l to v chord progression in ever chorus of the song. I bought his experimental album and thought that the cd was on repeat at one time.Phunkified and knock on wood by justin king do sound the same at tapping. But if you actually listen to le bleu album. He really shows a lot more styles. and before you reply listen to I-XII albu
I think it's more of an interpretation thing. But I understand your opinion. I personally love this song, and this player. I think his technique is very well developed for the sound he seems to be seeking.
Surely one of T-cophony's master piesces.

His technical ability is no doubt admirable, but Stefano Barone's tapping is much more tasteful than this, at least in my opinion anyways.

Barone is more nuanced in his approach, it's multi-layered and digs a bit deeper than just sounding nice.
