Tosin Abasi is rly great... But when it comes to gear... Take a look at the box with a green display behind Tosin. That's Axe-Fx Ultra. Try searching YouTube for the examples of it's work. When you have this, it doesn't matter which model of hi-end pickups you're using.

@HankHillshred djents as far as finger placement goes is really just a root, fourth, octave, and octave of that fourth. theres other variations and the different tunings make the formula different but its not really a new technique. its just like a stacked power chord kinda like what korn does in "got the life". they just call it djent because thats the sound it makes
