  • Gary Barden was a total sweetheart back in the 80's..haven't seen him since, wishing him well in everything life has to offer. =)

  • I hear Graham in this. WTF? I used to really like Graham's voice. It is not there

    any more.

  • Does Anybody Know If Gary Barden's version of Dancer is availible on record or cd, I like both versions but i think Gary Barden's version is Better than Graham Bonnet's but there both good and assault attack is a kick ass album

  • true story; barden came back to replace bonnett after schenker booted bonnett and then barden blew out his voice trying to sing the bonnett songs on tour and was replaced by ray kennedy to finish tour. michael then regrouped by finding robin mcauley a couple years later.

  • Bonnet... It's not just with M.S.G. with Alcatrazz, Rainbow, Impellitteri, Anthem... YOu name it. All his works are masterpiece.

  • @s13tx what ever. every one talks about this guy. Michael.

this was in 1982 & Scorpions Blackout LP Destroyed anything MSG ever did.

Rudolph was & is a Better Guitarist.

Yes i like Bonnet & Alcatrazz, Vai also

  • Schenker + Bonnet was the best ever Schenker project end of story! Assault Attack was the best album end of story.

Schenker has had many exciting and inspiring albums, but the Bonnet and Schenker magic was unique and excitingly unexpected similar to the union of the P51 Mustang and the Roll Royce Merlin engine during WWII, no one could have foreseen the magic, but equally no one could deny it's blended success.

    Cheers, CrazySchmidt.

  • The 4 first album of MSG are simply the best , including One Night at Budokan . For me , Assault Attack is the One . Graham Bonnet , despite his look ,has one of the greatest voice i ' ve ver heard .

  • @demonsgate66 Don't make me Laugh MSG was Queer.

the Scorpions were always a Better Band

  • @MetalHeart8787 whos talk about Scorpions ? Scenker/Bonnet is a fucking duet , I insist . Anyway , the Scorps are great too ...

  • Truth is that if Gary Barden had been in the band for the Assault Attack sessions, this song would've sounded entirely different. That's why I'm not into comparing his and Graham Bonnet's versions. They're both great singers, but hardly similar.

  • Love the song. Love Barden , usually. After 1:17, I stopped the video so I could make it to the toilet to puke. Graham Bonnet kills on this album. To even try to replace his vocals is tragic. yuk.

  • Give me G Barden anyday over G Bonnet's voice anyday of the week...no disrespect to Bonnet....Barden nailed this song.....it was great...

  • @pistolpaul21 Yeah Barden nailed those high parts. Oh wait...That's still Bonnet.

  • LOVE IT.BOTH BARDEN AND BONNETT. anybody would struggle trying to cop bonnett.

  • It is interesting that we can still hear Graham singing the chorus!

  • Barden rules, but Bonnet just smokes him

  • One of the worst and most commercial numbers of MSG.

He has some many brilliant songs but this one just doesn't work for me.

  • I listened to the song sang by Burden for the first time.

  • the graham bonnet version it´s so much better.

  • that's right

    graham is best singer

  • Barden sung this song in studio very well!

he is the best vocalist for Michel in studio.

    i like Barden!!!

  • @qqmhp1984 IS THIS AN OFFICAL MSG MUSIC VIDEO???

  • @77REVOLTFORAFRIKA77

    i think so.

Graham quit MSG before this pv.

    so Michel called Barden back.

  • Bonnet's vocals overdubbed on chorus. Gary can't sing it.

  • 27 years on the gary barden version is still utter shit

  • Barden had some balls to attempt this one, but he did well

  • Gary Barden rules!

  • heavy fuckin melody!!! saw him in sheffield last year , stunning.

  • I love this song. Love Michael and Cozy and Bonnet soooo much and I think Barden is as well as Bonnet on this song.

  • I love the rocker chick dance..LOL!!!..

  • fucking greatest hardrock!!!!!!!!!!!- its my favorite MSG song of all time!!!!!!!!!

  • what a debate!! And waht is great to me is that MS always ALWAYS brings a bunch of just terrific musicians Into the Arena - no matter what you are guaranteed a great lineup with Michael, just world class musicians. Ted McKenna? AMAZING with Rory Gallagher and just a throbbing beat and just look at all the drummers he's played with - another debate just waiting. The Coz? Andy Parker? McKenna? WHOA

  • lmfao@ 'graham owns this fag'

I like everything Barden has ever done with Schenker but I agree, Bonnett sang his balls off on Assault Attack, and the original is still better.

But Barden's voice does seem to be particularly suited to the chorus in this song.

  • I like your work on Blackout.

  • blackout?

  • Yeah, Rudolph from the Scorps.

  • Graham owns this fag.

  • Can't believe some of you rate this above Graham Bonnet! Graham Bonnet's voice could dry your wet hair from 10 feet!

  • everyone has an opinion ....fair enough....but look at bonnets back catalogue first.....then compare him to gary barden ? if you know your vocalists...it might change your opinion ? if not .......'.thats the way that it is '.

  • Just read an interview with Bonnet. He said he was a pop guy before Blackmore picked him up. I think Eric Bloom is a great singer..not technically, but who gives a diggety?

  • @clunk99 LOL!! So damn true. Great voice he possesses!!

  • Not bad... Bonnet did it better, in my opinion.

  • agreed... Bonnet did put the feeling to this song

  • graham bonnet is a kickass singer, his version is way better. assault attack is a great album.

  • Barden does a great job on the chorus and it has nothing to do with Graham Bonnet's background vocals still in the mix...or does it?

  • This sounds SO much better with Barden on vocals. Who cares if he can't hit any of the high notes and he has a lisp and he wears women's jeans and he says stupid things between songs and he's slightly cross-eyed?

  • This sounds SO much better with Barden on vocals. Bonnet and Mcauley are good but Barden is the best singer MSG ever had.

  • Have to laugh at your comment. Half of the vocals of what you hear on this overdub are Bonnet`s original vocals. Barden`s voice is padded out by Graham`s vocals .I dread to think what it would sound like if they hadnt left Graham`s vocals on this version.

  • Gary Barden voice only get better and better for every year that goes!!! He is a real rocker and he got it!!!

  • you're a fuckin hairless jerkoff. A total ignorant kook

  • Oh!!! And you're from Romania. That explains everything you primitive, backasswards A-hole

  • so what if i'm from romania /:)...i know more than you that's for sure :))...i like the version with bonnet... :D

  • this song was one of my favorites...now that i heard the version with Barden...i hate it :|

  • You made your point, my friend. McAuley is better anytime.

  • Barden blows Bonnet away!!!!

  • i still say that barden has the crappiest voice of hard rock...i personally don't like him...McAuley cand shit on Barden because barden can't face him :>...su suck ass...i still say that Barden sux

  • bonnet's a better vacalist, but his ego gets in his way. The band is better off with barden.

  • So much better than the Bonnet version. Thanks for getting this back up..

  • Pretty Good

  • Applause!!!

  • Thanks for posting!
